Originally posted by Ograbme I just tried the Utah campaign and, well, cripes. I bought a Mech Inf company(probably a bit much), an M4A1 platoon, 2 Wolverines, and some arty/FO. I beat off the first wave of halftracks/armored cars and got through the first panzer platoon to the north by the skin of my teeth(no losses, but lots of luck was involved). Then some panzers/panthers appear in the south just as some stugs pop out of the woodwork up north. Theres not enough cover down south to get into Sherman range, so the green coffins get brewed up. So what sould I have bought/done? As for stand-alone scenarios, I prefer smaller forces, maybe a company or more of infantry and a platoon of tanks.
I bought jumbos to start off with because of the better gun. I also had some bazooka teams. Once you know where the attack will come from in the north and the south, set-up the ambush for the stugs and panthers. However, keep pressing on the town and be sure to take it before the battle ends.
