Thanks for the link. I'm looking forward to Eagle Day/Bombing the Reich as well as War in Russia. Also interested to see these tibdits about AE and Carrier Force (for Uncommon Valor).

quote:

Speaking of hundreds of hours of gameplay, I hear that the War in the Pacific Admiral's Edition is coming along nicely as well. I have no real inside information on this one other than to say that I've heard rumblings that it will likely be completed by this summer.

As for Carrier Force, unfortunately Justin Prince has little to report other than that some progress was made last year. He's currently waiting for the new scenario editor to be completed so that he can create all the scenarios for the game.

Sounds like the new WIR will have a focus on logistics perhaps even more complicated than does WITP.

I'm being patient in waiting for AE, but I find this level of comment pretty poor considering AE will probably see the extension of the life of one of their products.

A bit more interest, and effort from 2by3 might see it surface soon, maybe, this year, possibly.

2by3 has always been available as necessary for help with WITP. AE is not their primary project however and having them more involved at this late stage would actually slow things down rather than speed them up.

so summer or spring? a mere season, but alas 3 more months

Eric,

Not really a great answer,  the right involvement 2+ years back might have seen this hit the streets 6 moths back.

While the input from "The gallant band of volunteers" WILL see a better level of accuracy, 2by3 would have had the ability to have resolved a lot more of the "engine" related changes.

As you can tell from various posts in the "in the works" projects, your customers are getting restless.
