load anw on my sony laptop with home prem vista. loading scenerio's menus, using the mouse works fine.

the problem- no keys, 'none' of the hot keys work, function keys, time+-... nothing. shift/control locks are not on.
tried everything, including compination keys.

do get vista warning when i start the game, but it just say's "setting default color palette"...

You solved your previous Vista/ANW problem by ensuring that you did not install the game into your Programs folder. Could that be the case here, too?

not sure...   i installed it under 'c:matrix games\harpoon3.....', with hce, which i don't have any problems with.

i'll try re-installing the way i did with xp, checking each update for functionality.  i was hoping for some stupid setting in vista.

Yes, that's the way I do it, too.

Once, I know that I skipped a patch and it caused me problems. The only solution was to uninstall and then re-install sequentially. I don't care if AGSI says that I can skip one or not. It didn't work for me. I just go and apply them all, just to be safe. [:)]

ok, so that worked.  (except, using laptop, the -+ buttons for increase/decrease time don't work, but do for HCE)

decided to work thru the tutorials. fine until 6- air ops.

air refueler is out of fuel (it's own fuel) and is setting at 60m (Surf), so doesn't crash when game starts. for jollies, i ordered the f16 to refuel anyway, to see what happen.
the f16 gets there and of course can't refuel, silly refueler is just standing still.[8|]   but now, can't re-order it to do anything else, land, move over to somewhere else, nothing,
just keeps trying to refuel.

suppose to outfit the f16s at airbase, can't, no ammo.

was going to try formation on carrier, but get message that can't format a singe unit.

carrier does have ammo. there is around 185 harms. but for the f18, there is only one outload, LR ARM. is there a way to move harms to the regular ARM outload?

double click on logistic button when carrier selected and getting a list of everything on board. do a double click when on the airbase and get a message that this unit can't do refuelling missions.

Try first selecting the base and then pressing F5 (logistics button) twice. Appears to me you might have have been ordering UnRep between a previously selected unit and the base.

selected air base. double click using f5, nothing, no messages.  single click gets the targeting cursor (for refueling, i think).

F5 is the logistics hotkey and will order Underway Replenishment (Fuel and munitions transfer between ships).

F6 is the air operations hotkey and will order In-Flight Refueling, Air Intercepts, and RTB. Depends on the units selected.

I'll check it out the issue of not being able to manage base logistics.

I believe some of these problems may be due to your use of the databases issued by AGSI. I just checked and the PlayersDB version of Tutorial 6 has the munitions available for the F-16 on the base. Did you load and install the Complete Harpoon ANW Library and then switch the DB manager over to it as shown in the image?

I don't follow what you are trying to do with the Carrier. The PlayersDB version has both LR ARM and ARM mission and ammo is available for both loadouts.

I also don't follow what you are trying to do for the base. If you select the base Group Icon and hit F5, you will see problems. If you want to see the individual ammo magazines for the various facilities, you have to first select Unit display, select a facility, THEN hit the F5.

that clear'd up fuel, arm loadout and ammo at the base.

still, select carrier, double click ordance button, get carrier's ordance load.  select airbase, double click ordance button, get nothing; maybe there's nothing you can do with the ordance?  would be nice just to see whats in stock.

still, select carrier, and click formation editor, say's its not a group to do this function.  doesn't one still setup automatic 'aaw,asw,ect...' patrols via formation editor?
(i'm still figuring out mission editor)...[X(]

I think you need to double click the Ammo dump of the airbase, not the base itself.

and no, formation patrols are only made for groups. You can use the mission editor to set AAW patrols but they will not remain centred on the carrier.

As Freek says, you cannot click Ordnance on the Group Icon. You must first:

1) Hit 9 on the key pad for Unit display. You will see this image
