Two newbies looking for 2 opponents to play the allies in WaW v30.

We have 3 players as it stands you, me and another guy named Andrew
Andrew wants to play the Germans so i will play the Japs.

Hey Silicor,
Sounds good, looks like we are ready to start could you contact Waltero to decide who is playing what side and if there are any rules or conditions that need to discussed.

Also I was talking to the German player (Andrew) and he wants me to play the Romanians when they come so i get to play sooner but I think this will trigger the PBEM cheat feature. We could put passwords on but take off PBEM cheat, what do you and Waltero think.

I sent Waltero a note. What options do you want to play with? As far as cheat protection, I don't care. Hopefully we are all mature enough to monitor ourselves:)

I agree I think we can all be honest.
How does this sound:
FOG = on
Shroud = off
Passwords = on
Anti Supply = on
anti PBEM cheat = off
Screen shots = off
Shroud peak = off
Terror PBEM Mod = off
Special Units = on
SS/SIB = on
NO Bonuses
Rising Production = on
Let me know what you guys think.

Sounds like what I would pick. My only blind spot is Rising production. I'm not sure of the ramifications or purpose for that setting.

My understanding is that for example you have a city that is 2000 and produces 1000 supply in 1940 then in 1941 or 42 the city is still 2000 but now produces 1250 supply and will rise again in 43, 44 etc. It can be a nice little bonus as the years drag on.

yeah, I understood the functionality but did not understand the ramimfications in-game. Does it give a side an advantage, make it more historical... Willing to try it, just don't understand why it is an option.

Well it seems to me that as nations went to war they would improve and upgrade their production areas so I kind of see this as advancements in production processes etc.

I did some searching and it looks like the option was added to allow for more research later in the game.  It seems to be a fairly universally used Mod.
