Japan -> Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/21/2009 12:04:48 PM)

Is there any of you on the AE Team who could post a few screanshots picturing a few Aircraft and Engine Factorys of the Jap Industry ?

Was thinking the Screan who shows How many Aircraft Jap Produses in Dec 1941..
You know, the one who lists the planes and Production Rate ect..

Hope it would be possible if any of you got the time.. [sm=00000924.gif]

Don't think that they'll do that. I've noticed that AE team don't answer much last few days. So I guess that AE is going to be released in a next few days [:D]

51st Highland Div -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/21/2009 2:08:41 PM)

No they probably figure they have teased everybody so much with the screenshots that any more will just increase the amount of posts saying "when is it going to be released"..a bit like kids in a car asking "are we there yet ?" lol [:D]
Just thinking to myself but do you think the WitP:AE is going to require a steep learning curve in terms of "graduating" from WitP to AE ? Certainly its one of these games that only a few years you would have never thought could have been coded and brought into computer wargaming...It shows you how old i am but i used to imagine games such as WitP and AE,playing the role of a supreme commander and wonder if they would ever come to frution.
God knows whats lined up in the next few years...[:D]

Nope, one of them broke it so bad that it will delay it for at least 6 months. [:D]

tocaff -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/21/2009 9:36:59 PM)

Gulp, the various engine companies have their engines sub divided by types now!?!  I'm still trying to master the stock economics!  I love it!  The learning cliff gets taller and steeper.

I hope this imaginary AE goes Gold soon so that I can have lots of reading material for the bathroom.  [:D]  Food deliveries and my wife feeling, well the same as now with WITP.

51st Highland Div -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/21/2009 10:02:39 PM)

Wonder if they will come out with a WitP:AE for Dummies book to help tackle that learning curve to a more controllable level..

[:D]

Captain Cruft -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/22/2009 12:05:01 AM)

That is just splendid.

I take it the engine and aircraft factories work the same, it's just that there are many more types?

Just noticed on the list you have the E14Y1 Glen with an Hitachi Amakaze engine , should it not be an Hitachi Tempu 12 engine ??

We're limited to 20 engine slots unfortunately, so some fudging has been necesary.

Thanks for the answer

Be honest...how many of you tried to scroll down on the "Aircraft Replacement Pool" list shown above.[;)]

Thats not funny!

Everytime someone posts a screen from AE, and I am done looking at it, I try to hit 'exit' in the screenie to move on [:D]

Grotius -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (2/23/2009 10:55:16 PM)

Pardon me for a fussy question. What's the "month to date" column mean?

Edit: Ah, I'm guessing it means aircraft produced so far this month? I was confused because the Zero production rate is much higher than the month-to-date, but doubtless Zero production has been increased by the player.

Q-Ball -> RE: Request for a Jap Industry Screanshot (3/2/2009 5:06:16 AM)

Question: With the new different engine types....will engines auto-upgrade to new types like aircraft do, or will you have to spend supplies to make that upgrade?

Thanks in advance for answer!

Well, on the bright side, once drunk enough everyone becomes a genious....at least in their own minds. [:D]

Excellent question!

In CHS you start with (I think) 80 viable factories for one of the advanced engine types and 100 of the other. Managing the the necessary changeover and increases to advanced engine production involves the expenditure of prodigious amounts of supply. So I shall be interested to discover whether AE simplifies this task or - more likely, I fear - makes it harder and more costly.

Yes and no. Engines are amalgated into families of a sort. All versions of the Ki-43 use the same engine (Nakajima Ha-35) while the Ki-84's use a different type (Nakajima Ha-45). So you won't need to upgrade the Ha-35 engine every time there's a new version of the Ki-43 available, but it won't change to Ha-45 production for free.
