Capt. Pixel and hellcat gave me an idea. I will let you all talk about yourselves! What is the significance of your Screen Name? I loooove night fighting at super close range! What creeps around in the dark, waiting to get you when you aren't looking? Goblins do. Goblin- A Goblin is under the bed:eek:

Mine came from simple keyboard error. One of my old opponents had a sticky "k" on his keyboard...or too many pints of Guiness....either way, some of his e-mails went like "Hey Jackk, I've lost my tankks to your dang KKing Tigers..." After a few of those I started signing off with "Have a good one! Jackk" And it just kept on from there. Sadly I have that opponent no more. He faded away a couple of years ago. So if anyone is ever in touch with Mikke Wolf, tell him I said Hi. Kind of a sedate story, Goblin, but you asked.

My old screen name was Sturmie, but I had to get a new one and went to Sturmpionier. Both are products of my WWII reenacting group, the 43. Sturmpionier Bataillon. Our unit mascot is a worm with a stahlhelm and kleinspat coming up out of the ground. Hence our nickname, the Squirmie Sturmies. "Better dirty than dead!"

My name is kinda obvious. He was an awesome tacitician, at least for his time, but I believe good tacticians have a special ability to spot and use opportunities, regardless of the means they have at their disposal. e.g. Rommel would probably have made a great 100-years-War commander, and Belisarius would probably be pretty good if he found himself in a WWII environment. I have considered changing it a few times, but then how would you guys recognize me? :p B'sides, it's rarely taken when you sign up an account on forums ;)

Goblin, mine comes from the fact that friends and relatives are always commenting that I remind them of Fred MacMurray's character in the Disney movie if the same name, 'The Absent Minded Professor'. :D :D Eric Maietta

Cool subject! My real name is Ulf - originally a word for wolf, problem is it doesn't work internationally so I got the bright idea of using wulfir. :rolleyes:

I picked "Drex" because that's my name and darn if I was hard come by to find something that was anymore distinguishable than that. Nobody would call themselves Drex on purpose( it sounds to much like the German "drech") but that is another subject that I prefer not to dwell on.

That's interesting. I believe the concept of reenactment groups are so much more common in the US than over here.. Question: Does the group have any hardware, and if so; authentic or replicas? I'd love to have a 251 on my driveway... :p

At one time my screen name was Grenadier, before that it was Intrepid. I used Intrepid before joining the Raiders way back on the OLD TGN forum and mailing list for SPWW2. When the Kunel asked me to join the Raiders he suggested Grenadier as my focus was on the Germans. I registered on the matrix Forum about 3 weeks after it started as I was too busy finishing scenarios for SPWaW version 1 and writing the FAQ and manual. By the time I got around to registering, Grenadier was taken. I tried contacting the person who has it to get it back but no luck, so I stay with my name. I have considered changing it to something like GFM which Don Doom and Rocking Harry aleways call me or General der Panzertruppe as I call myself sometimes to the Lost Victories team as GFM seem to high and pretentious a rank. For now I will stick with my name

Mine comes from my all time favorite show when I was a kid. Combat - yes I am that old now I guess! :eek: When Sgt. Saunders was out in the field with his squad and if they happened to have a radio with them. When ever he would call back to the platoon c.p. it went like this: Checkmate King2 this is WhiteRook over! Over 30 years latter and I have never forgotten that line! so when I started getting into forums online I chose this without even thinking about it. Most people that feel like they know me just call me Rook. ;) Goblin - A Goblin looks good under a Sherman's Trac's :D
