I have two monitors at my main work computer and honestly, I couldn't go back to working 8+ hours a day on just one monitor. The productivity increase is astounding. What do ya'll think?

At the office I have 2 monitors.

It means I can work on more than one thing at a time and it increases my prodictivity. But does nothing for my salary [&:]

In the gameing world, I have inly one monitor. I would love to see a wargame where the "map" is on one monitor and the information screens open up on the second monitor.

Yes, that would really be nice for all sorts of gaming applications such as:

1. Tutorials / Rules while playing the game.
2. Strategic map and tactical map.

It's on my "when I have some more money" list.

Joe 98: You have given me an idea. I intend to try a scenario where after the first move, I will send to a second machine the files and playback video then expand the battle map on it (#2) while playing on the 1st machine.  Thank you. If it works I'll let you know.

Now HERE is your dude with 'screens'.....13 in the pic, and seemingly about 3-4 puters probably linked together to do it!

I'd love to know exactly how 'He' linked everything together.....

Some quick thoughts...

I have two monitors connected to the computer that I play games on, a Dell 24" and a Dell 19".

Day in and day out, I keep the 19" turned off and the Nvidia control panel set to display only the 24".

Why?

Well, first there's power.

I don't want to run a 19" panel display that I'm not using.

Also, the video card has to work harder to output the additional signal, and it shows up in the temps for the card, essentially 10C hotter than when the card runs with only one monitor.

So, I'm doggin' dual-view, right?

No, I'm not.

If I have work to do and need the additional display, its darn near priceless.

The extra real-estate really does make a difference when your doing something like graphics editing.

How's that for riding the fence? [;)]

Actually most modern LCD TV's I've been looking at have a 15 pin jack on them for the computer monitor output. That was one of my criteria when I was shopping for a new 52" LCD TV a while back.

I use two monitors. It is not essential, but on occasion it makes tasks much easier.
