I am happy to say I just got this game and started playing last night. Today I am practicing for my upcoming role as "The Whipping Boy of the Baltic: Sweden" in a PBEM game.
I am involved in a war with Denmark, and I am happy with my gains (have taken Zealand and crushed their army which hides in the south of the country now). I was all excited about the treaties feature in CoG:EE, and so I decided to whip it out and offer Denmark a peace, because I didn't feel like storming Coppenhagen and think that absolutely destroying Denmark's armies is a mistake since they have enemies to the south.
And of course, as you all know already, as soon as I tried to offer a peace treaty, I was only allowed to offer treaties to France, Spain, Russia, Prussia, Austria, Britain, and Turkey. What a disappointment. :(
To make a constructive comment of this, I think it would be great to allow players to make treaties with minors. Of the same sort we make with large powers. Would the AI really even have to be different? The minor nations already have opinions about us. Ericbabe? What do you think? Just curious what the issues are here.
However, still looks like a GREAT, one of a kind game. :)[&o]
P.S. Another funny moment occurred when I started a quick game as Turkey (just to look around) and the only region in which it was raining in my whole empire was Cyrenaica.
