Hi,

Looking for opponents for a WaW, Explorers version. Would like to test myself again.

I need about 3 people, so join up

Also if you currently have alot of free time (like me [:)]) I want to try a 1vs1 from the scinario bank, these are a few Id like to try:

Colonial Gold
Fall Grün
Netherlands 1940 v2
Tunisian Campaign
Guadalcanal

But if you have others in mind, im open to suggestions.

Hey I haven't been able to game since last spring but I'd take a side in Explorer since I'm looking for a game again. But are you going to use the updated version? It looks like there are some changes that need to be made based on the AAR that I looked at - like I think a land connection for Halifax?

Well, if a new explorer version is out we'll use it, but to my knowledge v34b is the latest version

Now I need 1 more player to start the WaW

If you guys are interested, my new Revised version is getting pretty close to tested enough for me to release it.

It's not where I want it to be yet, but I don't know of any "bugs", just 1 report of it going into infinite loop late in game when played against AI with screenshots on. I haven't yet taken the time to find if it was screenshots on + AI that did that, but I think so.
Only part of current version I haven't really tested in a real game yet is JA, nobody has gotten that far that has let me know at least.

So IMHO the current version of Revised (not in sandbox yet) is the best one, if you're interested let me know.

nice - ok we need 1 more. I'd prefer an allied side if possible but i can also play any side needed if others have strong preferences.

Hi all,
sent out the first turn. I am playing with AT 1.21. I left all settings on standard and activated passwords, screenshots and PBM cheat and hope this is ok for all of us?
The file I used was WaW_Revised_1f5.

It's in the sandbox - look under the 1f version and the actual file is 1g.

FYI - I sent turn 5 to Germany last night - thought you all might want an update on the progress so far. The only significant events so far:

German U-Boat pack sank about half the destroyers of the entire Royal Navy along with a couple of transports in the channel - then calmly sailed away (probably) back to Germany.

Luftwaffe shot down almost the entire Allied air force over the Maginot.

Thanks for the update.

Update your fleet as soon as possible. Level 1 Cruisers can go to level 2 straight away.... probably destroyers as well. Everyone already has Ships II researched.

Bad news about the airforce......

Oh - I thought I'd read in scenario notes that no lvl 1 ships can be updated. Maybe it was just planes.

Lvl 1 BB's can't be upgraded but apparently CA's can.... don't kow for sure about DD's or CV's.

Newsflash: Germany has taken Paris in May 40 after most French soldiers did already make for England ...
All countries should wake up now soon.

Actually the French didn't ship out many troops. Some of Marseilles production went to England and Africa, and a few guns and staff were sent out. Other than that the Germans just slaughtered the French. They are too weak to stand up to the Wermacht. About 25% of the French army is still in southern France. The rest is just dead.

Re cruiser upgrades:
Cruiser level 1 CAN be upgraded, as my research found that those ships were upgraded after the war began.
I don't always keep the various briefing, unit description, tech description, upgrade description up to date as I change certain settings. My humblest apologies.

Im a bit confused, ships bigger than CA werent ever upgraded? or just not in wartime? to my knowledge battleships were refitted all the time

I think it's that version, yes. We restarted for a production fix in Norway I think. I guess Russians will just do scorched earth? We could have Russians set aside 1000 production per turn for each city they've lost or something like that I guess - but it would be a lot of book-keeping for the Russians.

Well this takes a bit the fun out of conquest. Is this something that will be changed in the future?
But as it is a Beta-Version I think we take it as a playtest challenge....

New version 1i Beta is in sandbox now. Production issue is fixed and well tested, so should no longer be a problem.
Sorry that it doesn't help in games already underway.
