Franck -> How not to be hatted (3/17/2009 9:26:08 PM)

Hi, the different PBEM in wich I'm playin have pushed me to question how should one use surrender points in a long PBEM. In my oppinion using surrender points to get big territorial concesion can only get you the ennemity and the frustration of your opponents. They will than only try to plan your demise. I'm wondering if asking for enforced peace or alliance would be a better idea? The fact is that by asking for money, 1 or 2 territory max, alliance and a defence pact you are actually forcing your ennemy to become your ally for a possibly long while. He might even see that an alliance with you is benefical and than decide to continu that alliance after it is over... Any toughts?
