kverdon -> #$&!@#!**#* UPS - Vent here (5/17/2002 1:08:14 AM)

ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! To Heck with the IJN Carriers what I need is a co-ordinated airstrike on UPS. I ordered UV second day air and have been anxiously tracking its progress on the UPS website. Things looked so well, As of this morning the package shown as scanned in my local UPS office for delivery today. PERFECT!! My wife has to work late tonight so I'd have some un-interrupted time to get aquainted with UV.

Sooo I check the web site to see if its been delivered yet. It now says delivery Tomorrow and its scanned in a location 550 miles away! WTF???? . I call UPS and am informed that they screwed up and instead of devlivering my package they mis-routed it to a delivery station at the other end of the state!. There is a good reason they paint their trucks brown!!! Matches their service. Of coure, I've got other commitments tomorrow and will not be able to get to it until the weekend. GRRRRRR!!!

thanks for letting me vent, others in the same boat feel free to vent here.

This is not directed at UPS ( perhaps tomorrow:) ) but against the Swedish custums for delaying UV for 24 hours. So I should get it tomorrow but with my luck UPS will screw it up somehow. Perhaps I do get it but then there will be computer/game problems instead. I am ALWAYS negative. Should perhaps start to think positive for a change.

I'm in the Pink Zone on US weather channel maps and I haven't got my copies yet. Guess they are putting the chains on the tires...

Cmon man, I thought you'd at least have a mountie story to add or delivery 700 miles uphill in really big snowshoes... lol!

Yes.
I do request an airstrike, too.
They called me Wednesday at 21 PM at work that they have a parcel for me.
I told them that I can't receive it during workdays at my home address.
No problem, we will reroute it to your Workplace for a small fee.
It will be delivered tomorrow.
Thursday:
I couldn't join the coworkers going tpo a nearby restaurant because it might be delivered when we are at lunch.
Friday (today):
I couldn't join the coworkers going tpo a nearby restaurant because it might be delivered when we are at lunch.

Now I learned that they tried to deliver it to my home address.

Fine.

We will try the next atempt on Tuesday.

Fine.

We can deliver it to your workplace.

No thanks, I will take it myself.
Where can I take it from?
HERNE?!?!?!?
Fine.
I will travel to Herne.
Today.

NOT TODAY?!?!?
OK, I will try it tomorrow.

YOU ARE CLOSED ON SATURDAYS??????

NEXT POSSIBLE DATE IS ON TUESDAY????????????????

That's great.
I will, perhaps, be able to retrive it on wednesday.

FedExpress was more innovative.
They once rerouted a parcel into Georgia....
Tiblisi, Georgia.
Not the US-Georgia.
The former Soviet Republic of Georgia.
And they were able to deliver it quicker from Tiblisi, Georgia to Dortmund, Germany than UPS is able to delicer it from Airport colonge/bonn to Dortmund, Germany.

I am mistaken in geography....

I alway thought that the airport of Cologne/Bonn would be located somewere between Cologne and Bonn.

That seems not to be the case.

Grumble.

RolandRahn_MatrixForum -> Thank you, kverdon (5/17/2002 8:45:48 PM)

BTW:
I feel much better know that I vomitted it out.
Great thread, it helped me a lot.

Kind regards,
Roland
