Guy's sorry to be a pain but I would like to be asked if I want to change any factory or production settings.
In other words I would like to see a dialog box appear and ask " Do you wish to continue and make the selected changes ", is this gonna be standard in the AE game.

It's too easy to be browsing thro the aircraft or engine screenies wondering what is req'd for the future and having highlighted/selected something on the left column unwittingly click/select an item on the right side of the screen= disaster.

That's right I £$%&%$-&% the other day !!!.

OK while I'm on a roll it's also a pain and a long drawn out process when trying to find and select another commander from the list, can we not narrow down this selection process, I.E wasted 5 mins looking for a commander for a rear area base force. My eyesight is gett'in worse and the planet is overheating with all this time wasting.

However I'm still glued to the PC waiting on the next pbem file arriving.
Fantastic game and my credit card is close at hand, and I'm patiently awaitng the arrival of the Admirals Edition.

Yes and yes. Short answers because they have been answered many times before (complete with screenshots).

Thanks for the confirmation, no doubt I've read the post sometime somewhere in the distant past but as you get older the ability to retain anything but the most crucial information starts slowly slipping away.
However that is really good news.

nice to know i am not the only one who has that problem[:D]. Thing is if we have that problem why are we playing a game that requires so much memory and attention[&:]

What game?

kfmiller41 -> RE: Changing Production Lines (4/13/2009 8:04:41 AM)

Well I sure hope this is a game, cause if it was real life i would have committed Hari-Kari years ago or been shot for incompetence[&o]

I forgot to mention that I also have ongoing pbem games with HPS Moscow'41 and a MEGA ( Denmark thro all of Germany to Austria ) Danube Front Modern WW3 campaign game.
I was fortunately in the right place at the right time last August and snapped up a early retirement offer before the recession clicked in. But my new boss " my better half " continues to keep me engaged and active in house and garden, in other area's of operation's so to speak, although I'm a bit reluctant and need constant supervision.

In the meantime, do what I do. As soon as your turn plays through, make a working save so if you do something silly, you don't have to replay the combat turn. I save several times as I go through issuing orders, and have been happy I've done so on more than 1 occasion.

eastwindrain -> RE: Changing Production Lines (4/13/2009 4:43:47 PM)

To be honest I've talked this thro with my worthy and extremely capable Allied opponent, our solution which I hope is above board and acceptable is, the moment I realise I've made a boo boo I exit my order phase without saving, then enter again and therefore pick up the order phase at the last save point. This is possible because I frequently save throughout my order phase. Again this is only required with producing war materials.
As this is the same game file we both agree this is considered as a change of mind or orders before the final save prior to sending turn to each other.
But I seemed to have learned my lesson and have never had to resort to this measure so cannot confirm if it actually works.
