chiccoperrone -> can't get 1680x1050 native resolution (4/29/2009 8:07:22 AM)

hello,
i am using vista64 and ati 4870x2 with 9.3 drivers and i can get to run the game at 1280x1024 or 1440x900 but not at my native resolution of 1680x1050. When i set this one the game just run at 1280x1024.

It looks like you are playing a map smaller than your screen resolution.

Close Combat will expand the map to fit your screen size... this lowers the resolution.

All versions of CC do this including The Longest Day.

If you play a large map you won't see this happen.

Is this why when playing any of the original CCIV map's in WAR (Not original CCIV)that the screen resolution automatically jumps to 800X600?
I run at 1600X1200 but every time Dasburg or Clervaux comes up in my current GC the map and other graphics jump to what apears to be 800X600..
I don't however have this problem on Bastogne or Stavelot.

Small maps will be resized to fit ,- previously in CC4/5 the game would crash
