Grymme -> Possible to have to 64border sprites. (4/29/2009 4:44:39 PM)

Hi

I would like to have 2 different terrains for water in a mod i am working on. Shallow water and deep sea water. See screenshot below. However i dont like the borders between deep sea water and the shallow water. I would like to have a nice round border. So how do i do this. Is it possible to have 2 different 64 sprites for shallow water or should i change the deep water 64 sprites.

Also is there any function in paint where you can take a "pattern" instead of a simple colour, and fill out an area in the picture with that.

On that same note. Does anyone have 64 sprites between desert and plains?

Thanks in advance for any help

So i would like a mellow transsend between dark and light sea.

Do anyone know how you can take the following pattern, se screenshot below, and fill up the 64 sprites with it?

More free advice eh?[;)]

It looks like you are using the original sea as shallow water, correct? YOu can do two thing easily:
1. Go into the Land setup for the shallow sea, there is a setting that tells it what types to overlap. Add your deep water to that list and then you get the border you want.
2. Copy the shallow sea Landtype to the deep sea landtype. Then go into the deep sea land setup, there is a setting that tells it what types to overlap. Add your shallow water to that list and then you get the border you want.

Not very good the paint or Paint Shop pro to know if you can do the pattern thing.

The RealMod has plains with 64 special sprites. I'm working on one for desert but it's not done yet.

I will think about how i could make it easier to get nice transitions for the next version.

Kind reg,

Barthearth

Thanks very much for the advice. But seriously, lay off. You dont have to answer if you are going to come with those kind of remarks. I dont appreciate it. I dont think i am exaggerating when i say that i have done a lot of work for the AT community. Are you seriously bugged about that 1-3 messages regarding event code you and Lunaticus helped me write? That particular scenario has some 100 events with someting like 2 000 lines of code.

Vic. Always appreciated.

Totally not helping comment: shouldn't that city be called Lilybaeum?

Actually a little helpful. Thanks

In any case. Thanks Barthearth. After a little fiddeling it worked like a charm.

It will be much more dangerous to travel the deep seas than the normal seas.
