The Acrobat Reader provides you with a zoom in/out feature. Glad you have such good eyes, but we (I) decided on a larger font size because a lot of people do not have so good eyes.
Some people appreciate big fonts some small, you canīt do it right for everybody.

It should say "The base can not expand any further"
