Greg:

Is this a comprehensive list? The Mantis log shows about two or three times this amount of fixes.

Thank you
Mardonius

That was the list I have going from the last official update. Marshall might have more information.

bOrIuM -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (4/30/2009 6:30:50 PM)

is the Editor finally included ?

hellfirejet -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (4/30/2009 8:11:11 PM)

Yes the editor is included, but there are a great many things I can't alter yet within it, IE the ability to add leaders, more generals and admirals ?

If this can be done then how do I do it ?

bOrIuM -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (4/30/2009 10:07:31 PM)

Well, cant save a scenario and load it after... looks just like the old editor.

Sometimes have a popup that says " not valid integrer value, or something like that.. in trying to modify the nb of factors or they moral.

pzgndr -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (4/30/2009 10:21:07 PM)

FYI. The updated manual is in the \Data\Docs folder. If you copy it into the \Manuals folder and rename it as EIA-MANUAL-[EBOOK].pdf it will pop up from the startup screen. Rename the original manual first.

Well I tried to create the Napoleonic Wars 1792 -1815 After naming the scenario and adding a description for it, I saved it then tried to load but all I got was the name new scenario in the campaign menu and not Napoleonic wars 1792 - 1815 that I saved it as,the result was it did not load surprise surprise!!

Can someone explain the procedure for saving and loading a new scenario, I thought it would be easy but nope it ain't!

On the plus side we now have the Russian Campaign 1812- as a campaign scenerio.

There is a procedure in the updated manual and the ingame help file, but I agree it ain't easy. Some more clarifications from Marshall would be helpful, perhaps a new thread stickied at top for editor issues?

I tried three times last night to create a custom campaign. One time seemed to save and load OK but it wasn't what I wanted and I deleted it, then I couldn't reproduce whatever I did. I had a headache by the time I went to bed. A few observations:
- The editor "starts" with the default 1805 campaign and it's relatively easy to edit what's there. But we don't see this as something to select? There's the 1812 campaign now and we should be able to select that from a list too and edit it. Looks like you would have to start from scratch?
- Setting minor countries to influenced or allied does not seem to work. Seems like a bug?
- You can "delete" units by taking them out of the game, but no way to create new units. There should be a way.
- I could not determine where new campaigns are saved. They must be someplace. How can players post and exchange custom campaigns?

Marshall Ellis -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (5/1/2009 3:28:22 PM)

I agree the docs could explain a bit more. We will work on that portion a bit more.

GShock -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (5/9/2009 12:12:12 PM)

Just wanted to say i installed the 1.06 beta. Reinstalling EiANW proved "difficult" with a decompressing problem identified on a font. I pressed "try again" and it appears to have worked because the installation of 1.0 was successful.
Applied the 1.060 patch, got a help file installation request, i answered i have vista 32 and the file could NOT be installed...however, again, i proceeded.

The game runs, i've seen all the changes and also have the tutorial listed in the members downloads and am alt-tabbing every now and then to carry out all the operations the tutorial describes.
I can finally say i managed to place units and that my setup phase is almost complete (i am at page 13/32 beginning the diplomatic relations).

Thank you Ellis for making the game more playable for EiA newbees like me and thanks also to the author of the pdf tutorial without which i wouldn't have understood so easy how to setup units (I will name the guy(s) when i get to page 32!). Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh Finally!!!! [8|]

pzgndr -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (5/9/2009 1:27:31 PM)

Is the updated manual helpful?  Several of the tutorial explanations are now added to the manual to help clarify how to do things.  Future updates can include more if that's what folks want.

Marshall Ellis -> RE: 1.06 Public Beta Available! (5/11/2009 2:12:49 PM)

Thanks for the great help, Pzgndr!
