kleaner2 -> Introduction! (5/23/2002 6:45:51 AM)

Hey guys, I just learned about this game about 1-2 weeks ago ahd have been completely fascinated by it.

What a wonderful game. I have been playing all kinds of war games for many years (TOAW is another favorite) and was looking for something like the original Avalon Hill Squad Leader board game. Those were my favorite series.

I realized that Hasbro/Microprose put out a computerized version of Squad Leader, but read horrible things about the product.

While searching around, I found this game SPWAW. What a gem! Free too! Unbelieveable.

Well, I am reading Operation Barbarossa by Clark and enjoying playing a lot of the German/Russian scenarios and have also just downloaded the Russian Stell campaign.

I hope to be able to play some PBEM games with you guys in the future!

I live in Las Vegas, NV.

Welcome! You're now an addict, and the first step is admitting you are addicted....

The second step is getting over to the 'Opponents Wanted' subforum!

Goblin- A Goblin sees no sleep for you:D

Capt. Pixel -> Welcome to SPW@W Anonymous (5/23/2002 7:49:12 AM)

Hi Kleaner2 ::everybody in chorus:: Hi Kleaner2.

I am an addict too. Just can't help myself. :rolleyes:

Easy8 -> (5/23/2002 8:10:27 AM)

Welcome aboard, Kleaner2!

I've been hooked on SP since a co-worker dropped an evaluation copy of SP-1 on my desk to review for his web site 5 years ago. I've played SP-2, SP-3, and SP:WWII, but this version is the greatest.

Many thanks to Gary Gigsby and Keith Brors, David Heath and Paul Vebber, Wild Bill and everyone else that made this all possible.

Be sure to get your copies of the Mega Campaigns. These are the ultimate SP experience.

peter hellman -> (5/24/2002 9:05:46 PM)

Kleaner2, welcome from another addict. ;)

Btw an addict that has not been able to play even the slightest turn of SPWaW during the last 3 weeks:mad: :mad: :mad:, but the only thing that has kept me going is, that I have been able to visit the FORUM almost every day :D

Btw this addict will be seen in the "opponents wanted" forum next month:D So, beware goblins, dooms, M4's hellcats and others;)

And yes, I have been watching you:cool:

Larry Holt -> (5/24/2002 11:33:12 PM)

Kleaner2,
Welcome aboard. There has been some discussion about the best means to spread the good word about Matrix to the unknowing. May I ask how you found out about SPWaW?

Thanks

gnoccop -> (5/24/2002 11:36:57 PM)

Welcome to the jungle!

Leave now or you'll stay forever! (or until Combat Leader will be released by matrix) :D

kleaner2 -> Thanks for the welcomes everyone! (5/28/2002 1:27:39 PM)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome. I hope to play a few games with you guys in the future. Since being introduced to this game, I have been actively spreading the word about it and burning copies onto CDs for my friends (so they don't have to bother with the download) and mailing it to them.

I hope to bring a few more addicts into the circle soon. :-)

Larry Holt -

I found this game while surfing the net looking for The Operational Art of War : Century of Warfare scenarios. On someone's personal page (can't find it any more), they listed a bunch of their favorite games, one of which was SPWAW.

Capt Chris -> (5/28/2002 11:36:11 PM)

Welcome Aboard Kleaner don't let those comedians tell you you'll become an addict. It's not true, why yesterday alone I didn't get near the Forum for two hours, I had to play a scenario, but that's another story. Coffee anyone its ready at the meeting room.
:D :D :rolleyes: ;) :cool:
