Solitaire - Not likely to happen as a game itself, but probably quite usefull for testing whatifs and to try out tactics, 10% Head-to-head (Hotseat) - To phat to move that often, 0% AI Opponent - Most likely the most used mode, as I have more free time than my friends, 55% NetPlay - Hopefully this will be as high as 35% or maybe more. PBEM - Nah, oldskool.

is there any value in also posting a survey asking if you would buy without an AI, with an AI to be released as a secondary version/patch/update whatever?

All the mechanics are coded, supply, chits, all the routines to make sure youre turns are been done correctly but no actual AI, just basic rule enforcement - would you buy this. Then those people that buy that will be contributing to the Hawaii Beat Cant Do This On My Own benevolent fund for Steve (tm) and he can buy some Hawaiian programmers to finish all the fancy AI stuff for those that want one

Good to see that Research is going into this, not just the whims of a few or gut feel. I would only suggest Solitaire/HtH be grouped as its basically the same thing. But then thats my whim. Someone posted the question and I would not buy the game if AI wasnt available at start. I do hope there will be more than 132 sales of the game. i use the AI to get the Heads up with games only 20% after that will be net play most of the time 50% emails when players are busy. 30%

netplay hope to be around 75% currently regular user on vassal so hope to keep those opponents if game not priced too high solitaire some pbem v little to none vs ai some till can thrash it then none hotseat none

Looking at those survey stats does it seem that most of us on this site intend to be playing alone? Surely with the number of posters on this forum over the years we can find suitable groups to play more sociably over the lovely internet.
