twitter -> Need your opinion on Poland vs. Britian (5/13/2009 9:30:58 PM)

Gentlemen,
I need your opinion on the matter of the war Britian has just declared with Poland (me). A little background first to help you understand the situation:
Within the first year of the game I was DOWed by Prussia and Russia. Interestingly enough NEITHER fired a single shot at me (Prussia just sat there staring at me in Eastern Prussia while Russia was single-minded in its destruction of the Austrian army). All the time I sat in a defensive position near Prussia because Russia was no threat to my eastern border. After the war had elapsed with Prussia they decide to try it again a few months later and DOW me again and this time step across the border (to a rude welcome I might add). I beat them back twice and then moved across their border eventually capturing Berlin and forcing them to surrender to me. Meanwhile Russia finally forced Austria to give it up and actually forced them to ally and declare war on me - to which I was able to sweet talk Turkey into helping me by declaring war on Russia to open up a second front on her southern border. Afer only a few turns Austria was forced to surrender to us by insurrectionists (this after capturing Krakow - I know I know). Anyway, once Russia realized that she was on her own with quite a bit of border to defend she threw in the towel. Now, I thought I would have a little time for peace and quiet, but Britian (who started the game with a nasty face towards me anyway) has DOWed me.
Now my question to you:
1. Do I fight a defensive war against Britian (as I have NO navy to speak of)?
2. Do I try and get some ships from a minor and then have them in case I decide to invade Britian (which right now would not be possible with my troops being tired from the past few months of fighting and marching)?
3. Do I just sit tight and hope they change their mind in a few months and the war lapses?
So any ideas here would be helpful. I have never been in a war with Britain before (I usually play as Poland being Polish myself) and trying to figure out a stategy is confusing me.
