Axis Winter 1943 (turn 15) - The pressure on Leningrad and Stalingrad rises after the return of Finish forces into their homecountry (with a couple of German units) and a tactical victorry at the gates of Stalingrad. Japan gets rid of the Chinese Army and defeats the CW corps in Rangoon.

Place holder: sorry guys I have very little time lately and AARs are high time consuming, will try to post the turn but can't guarantee.

Axis Spring 1943 (turn 16) - Allied fighter production is staggering (16) ... such are subs (11 on map and in docks). However it seems the WAllies will have a hard time preventing the slow destruction of Russia. Germany squashes the Army that advanced into Kursk and sees Moscow in reach. Japan desperately tries to regain some strengh.

Allies Sp43

USSR

The soviets straff german railway tracks to disrupt the supply system and if possible delay the Moscow offensive, at least they're trying to be a bother. [:(]
Velikiye Luki was recapture for the same purpose of hindering german supplies. All four attacked areas have no rails operative.
Rostov was retaken with high losses on the soviet side and on the LW, should have commited AA units earlier in battle, bad strategy on my side [:-]

China

What ??? they're erased from the map

Western Allies

The LW is back in France and prevented new air raids on resources, this time railway tracks were hit.
In the Pacific two more jap TF are sunk and Midway is liberated without losses.

Axis Summer 1943 (turn 17) - Russia in crisis as the Wehrmacht seems unstoppable. Some air attacks to reduce Allied air supremacy (in the future...) -  Japan eats up some more peace of Chinese cake (Lanchow) and manages to sink the US vet sub, but not the other one attacked.

Su 43

USSR

The Russians in a desperate attack managed to retake Kursk, an armour group from Leningrad retook Smolensk and trapped the Krauts in Moscow.
The questions are:

  • Are the LW HB in Kiev?
  • Will they be able to air supply the trapped army?
  • How many Pz groups are in Kiev?

China

And now they're even losing territory... [:@][:D]

Western Allies

US submarines attacked japanese sealines in the South China Sea resulting in one TF damaged and another sunk for one sub lost (sunk [:@] damned autohits).

The attack on the California coast was avenged, US Cvs attacked just recently repaired japanese flattops before they could sail from harbour, both sunk in exchage of 3 CAGs damaged, losses were rapidly replaced with new CAGs.

Allied HQ is somewhat worried about a possible japanese counter attack, 3 fighters and 3 CAGs culd be in position to attack.

Also an air battle took place in the Java Sea one fighter damaged on each side.

In the Baltic Sea US submarines sink iron shipments from Sweden

Marshall Art -> RE: GG 4.040 tourney Rd. 1: Marshall Art - rjh1971 (7/2/2009 10:27:34 PM)

Axis Fall 1943 (turn 18) - Although the Romanian Infantry managed to damage the Russian armour in Smolensk it got damaged itself leaving the Moscow group stranded. On the positive side Britain was swept of Allied fighters again and after some regrouping Germany still can hold off the Russians and threaten Leningrad. Axis Uboats should keep the Allied fleet busy for a while.

The true catastrophy happended in the Pacific where a Japanese strike went the Allied way despite highly favourable odds, the counterstrike yielded as many Japanese CV lost as were hit in the Japanese strike. With Allied supremacy in CVs (4-2) the sea lanes to DEI are in great danger, even after 2 subs were sent to docks or sunk.

Soviets

Stavka ordered the recapture of Moscow before german reinforcements could be brought to help the units in the cauldron. The operation was fully succesful the enemy eliminated in Moscow. [sm=happy0065.gif][sm=happy0005.gif][sm=happy0065.gif]

Units in Velikiye Luki were moved to Leningrad once more [:(]

Bielorussia was capture in order to demolish its railway tracks.

China

Allies liberate some chinese territory, but no supplies are still able to be delivered in order to rebuild her industry and resources

Fa 43

Western Allies

A new menace threatens allied sea lanes, Germany has develope new submarine types ev=4 attack=4. ASW R&D boosted.
No luck with the hunt of subs this term.

Two lonlely german transports were sunk by a LF (Kategatt) and in the Baltic Sea by a US sub.

In the Pacific

The Caroline islands were invaded in order to provide a submarine base and a port of future operations.
With the redeployment of Allied bombers in India, due to the tough defense by the LW in Europe, bombing raids were conducted succesfully and without losses against japanese railways, resources and TFs.
CAGs also attacked sealanes.
Japan is down to 6 TF, but will surely bite back if we're not careful

Kumming was attacked and liberated, wonder if we shouldn't have retreated and occupied instead [&:]

Marshall Art -> RE: GG 4.040 tourney Rd. 1: Marshall Art - rjh1971 (7/3/2009 8:55:20 PM)

Axis Winter 1944 (turn 19) - not much, except some Allied trannies sunk. Initiative is with the Allies... 1943 has gone by and I am still waiting for the Jet engine event... nevertheless Me262 have been put into extensive combat training for next spring as new WA fighters flood England.

Marshall Art -> RE: GG 4.040 tourney Rd. 1: Marshall Art - rjh1971 (7/4/2009 6:40:05 PM)

Axis Spring 1944 (turn 20) - More air attacks on Britain, even in Scotland there is no hideout for Allied fighters... Italian Navy sorties and shells towns along the Irish Sea.

What was perceived as a quick strike to disrupt Russian advance into Kursk became a major throwback, the Wehrmacht was unable to take Kursk and finds itself in a disorganized position. However the Red Army seems weak enough to not pose a threat just yet. After the Wallied invasion of Persia the Mid East was reinforced. It is better to fight the Wallies there than in Europe [:D]

Japan tries to hold ground.

Axis Summer 1944 (turn 21) - More attrition over England. Germany finally wins another battle in Russia. Iraq and Japan reinforced. Kasachstan invaded to cause destruction. One sub sunk off Kyushu.

Marshall Art -> RE: GG 4.040 tourney Rd. 1: Marshall Art - rjh1971 (7/9/2009 10:18:47 PM)

Fall 1944/Winter 1945/Spring 1945 - Back and forth in Russia, with no Allied advance except in Asia where Japan is cut off from the Mainland but heavily defended.

With Germany solid until well into 1946 we decided to limit out time to play out if Japan can be defeated...
