Just downloaded Pacwar, really looking forward to playing again, and there's some weird symbols mixed in with the text on the different windows. They look like a cross between and ampersam and an asterisk. They appear between words on the opening menu, then actually block out the text on parts of the combat reports. I tried downloading several times, with the same result. I'm using XP Pro. Any suggestions? Really appreciate any help that's offered. Thank you, Robert.

Try posting you question in the PacWar froum, as many of those who have vast experience on the game might be able to explain it quickly. There aren't too many PacWar post that make it to this forum.

hi i just downloded pacwar but seem to screwed up! The fact is i'm no computer genius so could someone walk me thru the steps to do it right and be able to play the game
