So, a few days into my first game, and I have a question.

While my blitzkrieg-like tactics are quite effective, I have yet to see any offensive actions by the AI. No sectors attacked. No troop movements. All they do is sit there and wait for me to stomp them.

I've basically taken almost all sectors, switched factions, and retaken several sectors. I've been anticipating a massive counter attack (honestly, looking forward to the challenge) and there has been nothing.

Is this normal?

Hm, I've had multiple attacks in my games. What version are you using?

from my games, the AI likes to go after the Village and the Port (never seen it take either, so don't know what it does afterward if it did)

I saved the game and just set it to run at full-speed on the strategic map, not taking any offensive actions.

Eventually I did see some AI unit movement.

I guess I'm keeping them on the defensive. I've taken the whole map (twice) in a couple of days, so it would make sense that they'd take a defensive posture.

AI activity looks like it is triggered at midnight and not all groups will move out to attack something.

So if you only have hours going past instead of days you won't see much, if any, offensive activity from the opposition.

Using 1.08 and Foraven's Fine Tuned Mod I've played up to the early morning of Day 3 (actually maybe only Day 2), and I've taken over Roadblock, Northbase, Dam, Port, Coastal Fort, Crossroads, and Road to Airport. AI has attacked me with forces of 8 to 15 soldiers twice. Once at Dam, shortly after I took it, and once at Crossroads. Maybe if there was a problem with docile AI it was fixed in 1.08?
