Please give us an update on when to expect the patch. Waiting is hard.

Thanks,

Vaalen

Gil R. -> RE: Where's the Patch? (6/2/2009 1:10:15 AM)

A new build went up this morning that corrected the last known issue -- there was a bug in the change we made lowering the "fame" of random generals when they enter the game -- and if that and one other glitch noted over the weekend are working then we'll have a patch ready for release. Once that is the case there will be three steps: 1) Matrix produces an installer patch; 2) that patch gets tested to make sure it installs properly and has no corruptions; 3) the patch gets released. The fastest that can be done is about two to three days, though it can take longer depending on people's workloads and various other factors. So, we want and hope to release the patch this week, and that currently is possible, but we can't guarantee anything.

Go ahead and guarantee it, but if it doesnt happen give us Hard Sarges head on a plate.

Patch checks out, so it's on to the installer build. We're getting there...

don't say that, I may be one the reasons most of the patches get delayed in the first place :P

Glad you said that HS, I was starting to feel like I was personally putting the ol' KEEbosh on every test build [;)]

HiHi

Gil, will the new patch overide the probs in existing games?

I'm thinking the 2 Multi-player PBEM here.

All the Best
Peter

I'm not sure which issue you're referring to, so I can't be sure. Please clarify.

We are debating whether or not to carry on with our pbems, or reboot. I think Peter is worried about the Glory "bugs". In general we are wondering about compatibility with "old" saved games.

As a general question, can we copy our files, and maybe patch one, or is this against the licence / Terms and conditions etc? Just asking, I haven't done it!!!!! I asked as one game was crippled by our lack of knowledge of the diplomacy sytem (defaulting player penalising those who abided by the treaty etc), the other less so. One is an almost a certain reboot, the other is up for grabs....

Kingmaker -> RE: Where's the Patch? (6/5/2009 8:50:16 PM)

HiHi

Yer sorry Gil it wasn't that clear what I was asking, but basically as Pete's suggested can we just patch up to correct the probs and carry on playing the 2 PBEM games, or will a Patch up mean we have to start over.

All the Best
Peter

Gil R. -> RE: Where's the Patch? (6/7/2009 10:26:39 PM)

Time for another update. Matrix has now produced the installer patch, which we'll now test (Step #2 in my first post in this thread). Assuming no corruptions or other problems, this would be what gets released. Stay tuned...

Franck -> RE: Where's the Patch? (6/8/2009 3:03:58 AM)

hey just noticed something!!!!

For the first time since I play this game I have noticed protectorate act like they should!!! Pretty weird... France has Illirya as a protectorate and Kingmaker (that's you right) playing russia just captured it. Now, instead of Russia getting automatic control we have Hard green line inside bleu dotted line????!!!!

I know this is suppose to be how it works (after patch)... But how come this happens now? Seems to be some pretty bizarre stuff happening with Venetia as a whole!

Thanks for the patch,
Franck
