Narlotep -> Gung Ho Auto-Transports (5/27/2002 8:21:30 PM)

Playing Jun 42-Dec 43 Campaign.

I had set up a single AK with escorts as a computer-controlled routine convoy from Noumea to Luganville on the first turn. This convoy continued normal ops until I noticed in the second week of July 1942, it had decided to add several APs and board the 1st and 7th Marines for a trip through the Coral Sea to Cooktown.

I turned them around ASAP and they are heading back into Noumea under HUMAN control.

Now, I'm not sure if the computer just decided that most of the action was around New Guinea and wanted to "help". Those of you with 2 year olds know the kind of "help" I mean, ha, ha.

So, I am now a lot more wary about setting any surface TFs to Computer control.

Anybody else notice such behavior??

Raskal67 -> Same thing (5/27/2002 10:31:27 PM)

I have just recently tried the auto supply convoy and had tha same thing happen with units of the 2nd Marine Div being picked up and taken to Luganville when I held Lunga, Vila, and Gasmata why Luganville if it did pick up troops?

In my case the Auto routine decided that the 1St Marine Div on Guadalcanal needed help (they were getting a bit worn around the edges) and loaded up an RCT of the Americal and headed for the island.
