In the George vs. Seille - A Russia 1941 AAR, there is talk about the effects of capturing Russian production centres for the Axis

What effects, does the capture of russian production centres have for the Axis, apart from reducing Russian production?

Does the axis need to repair these cities toget the benefits?

Does each production centre add to the affect?

I know the build cost drop when I think Leningrad falls

I dont think their state of repair matters, you just need to own the hex. It will increase German production by making the German items cheaper to build.

Their state of repairs matters. The engine calculates with the UNDAMAGED production you capture from russia.
Only this counts as a boost for german production. I must know it cause i wrote these part of the events.

The russian production is not added direct it is added as a bonus on the german production. Means the items cost
less.

Watch the german production locations after you repaired the russian cities.
YouŽll see the output rising to 100+x %

You'll also have to garrision the Russian Production cities as Ivan tends to send a few Partisans to pay a visit. You don't want to lose supply or supply routes because of neglet.

Plus having to move fighting units back to recapture a town can be frustrating, esp when they are needed elsewhere.

I find it is nice to have base where new units can be formed and trained, fighting the partisans gives them a little xp and morale boost.

This is my favorite scenairo it really gives a feel for grand strategy, I have not played Russian yet but it seems balanced.
