Hi Andrew,

I sent it to you

thx

Andrew Williams -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/15/2009 11:57:21 PM)

OK

It loaded up and played fine in multiplayer.

I have a hunch, Can you try something for me?

Both of you Lower your resolution.

If that loads the game up fine then exit.

each of you in turn raise the resolution and see if that brings on the crash.

thanks

option 2

Are you both playing in windowed mode... can you both try that?

Andrew Williams -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/16/2009 12:17:53 AM)

and 3

Can you both check in your CC options menu and make sure you have a

1280 x 1024

If not we think we have it nailed down and a fix is possible.

panzerlehr62 -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/16/2009 1:29:57 AM)

Andrew,

Can you explain the importance of 1280 by 1024?

Ive been running 1900 by 1200.

Gz...

Andrew Williams -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/16/2009 9:10:03 AM)

If Close Combat cannot display a smaller map at the resolution of you have set it to 1280 x 1024 is it's first fall back position.

followed by

1024 x 768
800 x 600

we are investigating whether we can get CC to grab the available figures from your system instead as there may be a few graphics card/driver/monitor combinations that are giving trouble.

To test load the Amfreville map up at high resolution and in Full screen mode.

ifoko -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/16/2009 10:43:47 AM)

Yes chaning the resolution seems to have effect.

(I changed form 1600x1050 to 1280x1024 and my opponet to 1024x768 and it worked) when I rember rigth.

I also noticed when playing with 1280x... it is not possible to place a PAK in the northern bunker

With the solution 1600x it works.

SteveMcClaire -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/16/2009 7:51:59 PM)

ifoko -- you said it always crashes for the Allied player in your multi-player game.  Who is playing Allies? Yourself or your opponent?  Did your opponent pick 1024 x 768 because he does not have 1280 x 1024 listed in the game options dialog box?

What we need to know is whether the person who's game is crashing has 1280 x 1024 listed in their Close Combat options dialog as a valid screen resolution.  This will help pin point the problem.

Thanks!

Steve

Yes,

Ive played that map a few times with 1900x1200, no issues. I have no idea what the other guys were using but it played out fine everytime. At that res u get almost entire east-west on screen (just a little bit that doesnt show).

As far as computer locking up, I thk I got that issue fixed. It was the keyboard of all things (not video cards as I first thought). So for anyone looking at a gaming keyboard, I would advise as of now to stay away from the G19 (awesome when it aint locking up the puter) until they get the bugs worked out, somethg to do with buffers causing the lock. So now I got a new dell with a 10yr old dell keyboard (unknown amount drink spills, food, dog and cat hair and its still working great)...[:D]

Gz..

Ain't technology wonderful? [:D]

panzerlehr62 -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/17/2009 3:20:12 AM)

Sure is Drill,

Not only does it crash a stable machine, but it also causes it problems... last crash caused clk to set to yr 2000 (day and month were correct), which caused msn messenger not to work...after like 5 re-installs that didnt fix it, it took me 3+hrs till I found it was due to the clk yr, only then by accident. Plus every crash seems to delete the cookies that save login names and passwords.

Gz..

STIENER -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/17/2009 3:20:35 AM)

any eta on when the fixed patch will be availible?

RD Oddball -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (6/17/2009 1:08:52 PM)

RE: when the official patch will be available? - Nothing specific yet.  We're currently testing a version within the dev team hoping we don't uncover any other bugs so we can release it to Matrix Club members.  Keep being patient. Thanks.

handihoc -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (7/23/2009 8:24:16 PM)

Just bought the game and am wondering if I install the beta patch, will I be able to continue with the single player campaign I've started, or do I have to scrap it and start again?

RD Oddball -> RE: Beta Patch Crash (7/23/2009 9:36:11 PM)

It's always best to restart if you don't want to encounter errors.  Reason: if data is changed from what it was before installing any patches that could create conflicts.  There's always a chance that playing an old game under a newly installed patch could go error free.
