GODSPEED7 -> Graphical Tweaking (7/7/2009 10:40:42 PM)

I was trying to get the most out of the games graphics. I'm not exactly sure what settings to change in the .ini file, so I used my NVIDIA Control Panel and tried overriding the games AA to 16xQ. Doing this works for almost any game, even a game as old as Star Trek Bridge Commander.. but it doesn't seem to change anything here.

Eventhough my resolution is always at 1920x1200, the game appears slightly too pixelated for a game this 'recent'. Maybe they left some options out of the main menu, some .ini tweaking of some sort, maybe someone has had success with the NVIDIA Control Panel.

I don't want the terrain distance to be faded away, my PC could handle having the terrain loaded thoughout the entire map.. If anyone knows how to change view distance, please let me know.

Anyways, I would like some good tips on the subject. Thanks!

It worked for me, I was able to get my card to give me 16x no problems. Have you tried other AA rateings other then 16xQ?

Much Love,

Yeah, all the way from 2x to 16x, 8xQ and 16xQ, +/- Anisotropic Filtering and tried other settings on/off as well..

What version drivers are you using? I'm using the 185 and i had also tried with the 186 beta drivers.

I tried it with Vista x64 back when i had it. But I am currently running Windows 7 x64. No difference.

In your control panel, does Hired Guns appear as: Blitzkrieg II ?

I'm useing 185.85 on Vista x64 with a set of Geforce 8800GTs in SLI. Game shows up as Hired Guns for me. I had to manualy add it to the list though.

Hmm.. strange, When I manually add the game it shows up as Blitzkrieg II (Wether I use 185.85 or 186.16) It also did that when I was running Vista x64, so it isn't the OS. Tell me, do you have a Direct Download or Steam version, or is it the Boxed game you have? I have a boxed game I had purchased off Gamestop the first or second day the game came out.

What settings exactly are you using in your control panel? Maybe you happen to have the right settings for the game..

Thanks alot!
