Wow More Great Plays from Hack! Cool!
Now Please forgive me if this is dumb.. Maybe Im looking in the wrong place..
Is there a list of what defense Scheme each coach uses, such as 4-3 or 3-4?
Also Could I if I wanted to make up my own playbooks using your plays? Or mix and match your plays?

Thanks....

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/20/2009 11:20:33 AM)

i forgot if i added the coaching info for defensive types. if you need it, it should be in my past releases.

you can do what you like with the plays. i put in some blank playbooks so people can make up their own.

Mrgravyard50 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/20/2009 12:29:48 PM)

Thank You....

Mrgravyard50 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/26/2009 2:09:53 AM)

Sir,
Found the info on the plays. And I was thinking, I also play alot of FB Pro 98 and there is a site that has great plays for that game also. GNFL.org Check it out...
Again Thanks for all The Hard Work!!

simmer -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/26/2009 8:37:16 PM)

Mrgravyard50 do these plays work in maximum football?

Mrgravyard50 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/26/2009 10:06:17 PM)

No just on Fb pro. I just thought if Hack was looking to make more plays he might be interested in them..

simmer -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/27/2009 1:49:28 AM)

Looking at the plays for fbpro and maximum it appears that they are made with the same format. I was wondering if they will work if they are assigned to a coach from maximum. I was wondering if they can be renamed to work.

simmer -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/27/2009 1:53:30 AM)

On another note is football pro 98 editable.........I remember years ago someone was trying but I dont know if they ever cracked the code.

Mrgravyard50 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/27/2009 3:45:25 AM)

No not that I am aware of...

I already sent Hack a whole bunch of playbooks in pds format (masses of plays in them)
that came from a coaching site that I belong too
every play is detailed and laid out

I imagine Hack has more plays now than all the NFL put together [;)]

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/27/2009 12:59:12 PM)

haha.  the more the better.  i usually figure out a general scheme and fly with it.  you'll love what i've done with Coach Miller & Off Coord. Conner of the Miami Sharks!

Mykal -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (7/27/2009 8:33:24 PM)

Oooooh..........
thats got my attention [:)]

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/10/2009 3:57:25 PM)

I am new and must be doing something wrong, but when I take Hack's play folder and make it THE play folder they games just lock up. I could copy it directly to the play folder but due to the problems hesitant to do that.   Just wondering if anyone else has had similar problems and how did they get around it?

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/10/2009 7:41:47 PM)

are you setting the team's playbooks for one of the eight available?

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/12/2009 8:35:37 AM)

Yes, game locks up at kickoff.   I was going to use your playbook for my first league.

Mykal -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/12/2009 5:51:09 PM)

did everything work OK before the introduction of Hack's plays

because that sounds like another issue to me
I had a similar problem on my old PC
graphics were set to high and the game would never Kick off
everyone just stood around giggling

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/12/2009 7:25:28 PM)

Yeah, it works fine with the generic playbooks that come with the game.

It locks up on computer selecting play on kickoffs.

Mykal -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/12/2009 8:18:01 PM)

Personally, my way is this:

make a copy of the original plays folder and store somewhere where you can lay your hands on it later
then I delete eveythin thats in the original plays folder
and copy all of Hacks plays into the folder

just the plays, formations and playbook Icons mind you
not all the spread sheets and explanation documents that hack also supplies

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/12/2009 11:05:20 PM)

Ok working now.  I was copying everything in before.  Doing as you did, works! thanks!

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/13/2009 8:21:32 AM)

good to hear.  enjoy.

Kewl........
thats good news

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/17/2009 9:02:12 PM)

WOW!  What great plays Hack!  Great job!

Just one thing on the wish list, change the 5 receiver formation to just Hail Mary in the Miller offence. In CPU vs CPU, the CPU defense keeps wanting to use a 41 defense which always leave one receiver free. If this was just one TD a game, I would not write you, but its up to 3 in a game now.

garysorrell -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/18/2009 2:38:44 AM)

That problem may not be a fault of Hacks. There are definately some issues with the playcalling AI. I have seen the open receiver quite a bit, under a number of circumstances.

teamgene -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/18/2009 2:52:43 AM)

Ok thanks, we shall see :)

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/18/2009 11:09:26 AM)

5 wide should be defended by a 3 1 quarter style per my playbooks.  the AI doesn't always listen to the groups.  it has been a bitch of mine since 2.2.9ish came out.

as stated in my notes attached to my plays....best results come when you are coaching a team.

for some reason, when you coach a team, the AI listens to the groups and rarely strays.  the release prior to the last (MaxFB release) worked perfectly at CPU vs. CPU.  i don't know what happened.

I was messing around with creating team playbooks and offensive profiles,i'm not even going to try to tackle defensive profiles at this point,and checking the gamelogs after CPUvsCPU play noticed it said something like no profile found using default tendencies.

Two things i noticed though was that it does follow the pass to run ratio for a profile group pretty well and that the fewer the plays in a profile group the more likely it uses it.Though that could be coincidence and i'm still new at this.

While on the subject though do you mind if i ask you a question about your coaches play profiles?

I used your profile groups as a reference,when experimenting,and noticed that your coaches have a 100% pass preference during the final two minutes of a half with any score,down,distance.You obviously put a whole lot of work and thought into your play profiles,and they really help the game,but i'm left scratching my head over this.

hack153 -> RE: Hack's Plays v3.5.2a (8/21/2009 9:54:51 PM)

only ones like that should be...1st half, 2nd & 15+, 3rd & 6-10+.   some other depending on the playbook

you may be looking at 0 -:30. :30 - 1?

one big issue for the game is that the CPU flips the plays sometimes.
