Harry Patch, veteran of Passchendaele and second-last remaining British survivor of WW1 passed away earlier today.

Definitely counting down the time until they're all gone, now.

Wow! To have lived from the day when the "sun never set upon the British Empire" to the present day. These men (survivors of WWI) saw a lot of change in the world. RIP. [:(]

Just cast your mind back,Henry Allingham was born in 1896,so what Inventions has he seen come to life?

and so on,the list is astounding!
