I read this in my PC gamer mag and thought it was a late april fools joke.

But I went to the website and saw that it was actually true.

I cant understand why our goverment would make a free PC game....but even if it sucks its free.

They made it to get people around my age (15) to become interested in joining the army ;) :D

Yea, from the screenies i've seen it looks good and i heard you can use hand-signals and such making it pretty realisitc

i hope they implement M1A2 tanks and Bradley IFV's into it one-day, so you can have some big battles :D:D

Im going to be a liberal jackass here for a few moments and all you guys actually in the military forgive me when Im done.

But whats the point of this game?
Ive been looking at the website and cant figure it out.

Do they really think that ppl will join just from playing this?

Why doesnt the goverment just stop wasting those millions of dollars and install a manditory service for the military.

Im also suprised game makers havnt taken the goverment to court yet over what this will do to their buisness.
If I was over at red storm id be pissed as hell right now.

Anyways it multiplayer only and I hate multiplayer gaming so Ill wait till the single player version comes out.

Besides I have a low-bandwith connection :(

Its no more a waste of money then those commercials on tv, atleast with this you can enjoy it provided its a good game :)

No manditory service, I have no desire to work with someone that didn't join of their own free will. It would just be more trouble then what its worth if people were forced in.

I wonder if the other services will follow, maybe a nice navy simulations or something :)

Well obviously if they are making comp games then they arnt having enough ppl sign up.
Have you ever been to the Counterstrike forum?
I wouldnt want most of those people sigining up for the French army.
