Harvey Birdman -> Quick Combat: Infantry assault on arty and resulting casualties (7/26/2009 3:32:23 AM)

quote:

5. Casualties – Casualties are determined by taking the Casualty score of the unit that fires, multiplying it by that unit’s Strength, and dividing by 100. These casualties are lost by the unit being fired upon. Counter-assaults only do 50% of this damage, and none against artillery. Artillery assaults inflict 4x the amount, but only 1.3x against other artillery.

If the manual is correct, than an infantry division firing at an arty brigade in quick combat could cause casualties that are out of proportion the the arty brigade's size?

Question 1 Is the manual correct or is there a scaling factor for casulties to account for the target unit's size in quick combat?

quote:

Unit Statistics – Right-clicking on a unit in Quick Combat will display info and stats for that unit: unit name and type, special abilities, Morale, supply level, attack and defense modifiers, and Upgrades where appropriate.

Question 2: A lot of upgrades appear to be useful only in detailed combat. But show up when right clicking a unit in quick combat. How do those upgrades apply in quick combat?
