petdoc -> Printable map? (6/3/2002 5:22:24 AM)

I was wondering if anyone has access to or knows of a downloadable picture of the ENTIRE map for UV. It is beautiful and I would love to print out a copy. I would also find it very useful in play for quick reference (rather than scrolling around the map). I always enjoy having an overview of the entire playing area (my boardgaming pedigree showing through I think :) ).

never mind, figured out how to print one from program :)

It's in your UV Art directory. I believe it's called Strategic_Map.bmp, or something really close to that. Be forewarned, it's rather large. :)

I have done this: I loaded the UV_map.bmp into Photoshop, then:
1. I converted it to GRAYSCALE.
2. I increased its size to 1x1.2 meter, 100 DPI resolution. Then added some text that disappeared while eliminating the colours.
3. Using one of the available filters, I created a contour map (just lines).
4. After that, I saved it as .JPG
5. A local shop which works for Architects ploted it in 1/2 hour for 5 USD.

Now I have a splendid huge map to put on a table. I only need an Admiral uniform!
Cheers,
Panta

I emailed the file to my office.

Here we have A3 sized paper.

I printed out a large copy on A3 size paper.
