It's apparently true.

The Italian air force had a few Ju-87s, and rather than employ German dive bombing tactics, which required a lot of planes, they came up with a technique where they'd approach a target ship in a shallow dive, and send their bomb skipping across the water into the side of the vessel. It was called the "Cenni Method", after the pilot who invented it.

I would think stuka + shallow glide + anti-aircraft = bad. Hopefully, they were just going to employ it on merchies. Any idea if they ever used it?

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/23/2010 4:35:44 PM)

Chickenboy -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/23/2010 4:43:39 PM)

Belated morning or belated tithe?

Terminus -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (8/23/2010 7:49:38 PM)

Evening tithe... The thing I most enjoy about being on vacation is that I don't have to talk to people. I've calculated that I've interacted with approximately 8,000 people since I came back to the hospital on January 4th; it's nice to have some quiet time...[:)]
