As I recall it consisted of using "war weary" B-17s and B-24's guided by remote control and loaded with Topex, to be flown into ,hard to hit V-1 abd V-2 sites. JFK's older brother Joseph was killed (along with his flight engineer) on one such mission that went wrong. There were too books in the early 70's "Aphrodite: Desperate mission" and "The Lost Prince" which pretty well covered the missions. I don't own them, and haven't read them in over 30 years , so my memories might be a little off. Or new data may have been discovered or declassified.
