AttuWatcher -> One of my few regrets. Buying WITP/AE (7/30/2009 12:12:16 AM)

...when I did.

After the last two days of playing the incredible AE I should have bought WITP back in 06 when I first saw it!

I have so much catching up to do!

Ah, good old PTO... I sorta miss being able to wield on guns, armor, flight decks, engines etc to a certain point depending on ship class. [:D]

yeah they were good games, and the closest thing to WiTP that i've ever played. mind you pto 4 was seriously lacking, the 1st and 2nd of the series were my favorites

I wonder how newbies (non WITP Players) are getting along with AE?[:D] I think the first turn along would make some people give up and quit, it does get easier after the first time turn. I still have to get go back to manual to figure things out.

The original WITP does seem so easy now compared to AE.

I'm getting along well enough...in scenarios...won't touch the GC with a 10 foot pole at this point.

PTO II was my loong time favourite before WitP. I loved the sessions with the high command when you had to play a "poker party" in order to get through with your objectives. Also the ship design and order part was cool. Of course by AE standards the combat was waay to simple but it certainly had a feeling and the whole game played out in a week.
Good old times!

Got to add that AE is even more addicting :D the AI puts up a real challange this time, so AE is going to be the game of games for me for year s to come (until WitP II :D).
