What is the area again that constitutes the Nortwest Control Zone for purposes of determining minimum strength of the Japanese garrison in Manchuko?
Historically, the Kwantung Army served as main garrison force for the area. "Kwantung" means "east of Shanhaiguan", a guarded pass, east of which begins Manchuko. In the game, Shanhaiguan is hex (99,42). Which begs the question regarding game design: since Korea is technically East of Shanhaiguan, is it considered part of Manchuko for purposes of calculating the force requirements of the Manchuko garrison? I forgot from WITP days if Korea counted as part of Manchuko or not...

Does the Northwest Control Zone include Korea?

The Northwest Control Zone no longer exists. Andy's reply to my question in another thread indicated that the Manchukuo garrison needs to be physically in Manchukuo, as shown on the map. He wasn't sure about Korea at the time, and so far I haven't seen a confirmation or denial (but I haven't gotten back to that thread yet today, so it doesn't mean there isn't an answer).
