ORIGINAL: TheTomDude quote:
I just realized that the many of my carrier pilots have a very high fatigue and they are blacked out. According to the manual this means no duty due to fatigue (or lack of planes which is not the case). The only thing those pilots do is flying cap (no battles because they are in a homeport). Now I have 4 questions: Need more info. - What your settings? - Are they set to CAP or LRCAP, or both? - Are they escorts too? - what is the weather where they are CAPing? quote:
1. Do I have to cancel CAP every time the fleet is in port to keep the pilot fatigue low and put CAP back up when the fleet leaves port? (This was not needed in WitP) Shouldn't have to as we did not change this from WitP. But I always do. quote:
2. Does a blacked out (not on duty) pilot fly a mission if needed as long as there are planes? (if the fleet attacks or gets attacked) They should still fly. Pilots that are blacked out are only blacked out if there are less fatigued pilots than them available to fill open cockpits. If this is not occurring, please advise. quote:
3. The overall fatigue of CAP pilots is rising very fast. Is this intentional to keep the player busy allocating pilots? Fatigue builds a bit more rapidly and is lost a bit more slowly, so it is possible to run a unit into the ground. Depends on what settings you are using. quote:
4. How much does a high fatigue level affect the performance of a pilot? I get nervous when my Pilots are FAT'ed in the 20s. On the offensive, I will rest the entire unit when teh Average is above 25. On the defensive I will begin thinking of rotataing the unit to the rear in the same case if possible. If not I will try to alter my settings so that every opportunity is given to them to rest. quote:
Thanks You're welcome.
