...is a game guide. UV requires a tremendous attention to detail that is not necessarily evident at first glance, or by reading through the rules. Think about it:

1) Aircraft altitude;
2) How to employ AVs;
3) Commander effects;
4) Upgrade paths and dates;
5) Ship repair and returning to Pearl;
6) Supply, replenishment, and the types of computer-control over these functions;
7) Pilot morale and experience;
8) Air group disbanding and withdrawing;
9) And many other topics.

I don't see an official effort being made, which pretty much leaves it up to us, doesn't it?

How about some volunteers? I'm talking about putting together a number of well-informed articles on the various gameplay aspects of UV.

I would be glad to make an initial effort toward an article, and to help keep any other efforts organized. Perhaps it could all go in to a sticky subject on this board, and even be converted to .pdf format.

Any takers?

Well, I've about gotten the unit and weapon database complete for scenario builders

Couple days. The weapons, infantry, vehicles, equipment, and IJN ship classes complete. Still need to do the Allied ships and the AC. Pain in the butt.

Of course, no rush...seen a mention of "all new database" in David Heath's post, so the entire thing will need scrubbed against that.
