At first glance it appears to be a star of david, but it has to be something else.

rjopel -> RE: Identify this unit insignia (8/7/2009 1:23:25 AM) Probably a local visual marking used by the unit. Triangle point up = 1st Plt, triangle point down = 2nd plt, superimposed triangles = 3rd plt. Maybe.
