The current graphics really are lacking when compared to other five star titles such as Battle stations Midway/Pacific. So if the developers would put in some 3D graphics, that would be great. I'm not asking for much, just the pacific war modeled in 3D. If you can get that done by next patch, that would be better.

What??! Not even the same type of games. This is a top down grognard game, the graphics are wonderful for that. No arcade game here :) Haha but I get the sarcasm by the way.

Don't you people read the design documents?? The conversion to 3D sprites is slated to come after the bridge-view simulator and the Guadalcanal FPS module.

I actually was thinking of a way to spruce things up a bit. I need to do some more research..but there may be something out there that could be interesting to explore.

Actually I'm happy with things the way they are, but there actually is something that could be interesting and may work. I've already seen it in action, but I need to see if it would be practical in this case. Its a seperate application and would reside on top on WitP I know it sounds crazy, but you never know unless you try.

We talked about how dated they were when Stock WitP came out in 2004!!! The fact is, what makes WitP special ain't the graphics...Any moron can draw a pretty picture...But can your pretty picture accurately, and consistently recreate history in such fidelity that you can play a 5 year long game and have it play out nearly the same way that history did? For kicks I went and you-tubed the "BS" series. I watched in horror as the Midway attack was executed with unescorted Vals, and Shindens that took on Buffaloes on CAP and LOST! Then a flight of B-17s overflew two IJN Carriers and a Fuso Class battleship and were immolated by the vicious AAA fire of the IJN ships that steamed in seemingly random directions. All you need do, to win the game it would seem, is put the cross hairs on your target and hold the fire button down til it is vaporized then systematically move on to the next target...rinse and repeat. Seems pretty mind numbing, even if the grpahics are 5 star. I'll take smarts over looks any day. Fortunately I didn't have to make that decision when I picked my wife...

Alright, to those who didn't get it, this was a joke thread. Here is some advice, when someone mentions five start title and the battle station games in the same sentence, they are making a joke. As for the people behind the art in AE, it is actually my second favorite thing about AE when compared to WITP stock. Sorry, the whole waypoint system still tops the list.

Nice one Elf so shes cute Co0l,If i could have it all i would love it, too to have Great Graphics in this game all the Histological Data!but it would but 6 to 10 years before we get to that level of game play.maybe WITP 5
