puresimmer -> Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 6:02:15 PM)

EDIT: outdated and no longer available

Thanks for the testing help.

duncan21 -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 7:56:30 PM)

I'm getting a runtime error 3420 object invalid or no longer set when I open a player card and close the game using the red x from the player card screen.

Jabez54 -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 8:06:43 PM)

Shaun ...

The RC2 has improve the fixes as mentioned in release notes ... er, [8|] however, I noticed that after I promoted certain minor players into the major during the last month of the season - when season ended, I couldn't find the demote button to send the players back into the farm to equate 25 players limit - the game froze .. then I shut down and restart the game, the game ran fine, including the demote button ... not sure if this was a fluke, anyone experience this? ...

ps Hopefully the Red Sox can get back on track tonite (and not to focus on the 'roids issues[:(])

Also, a small note - now I'm back to work with a paycheck in the horizon - will be able to donate to this wonderful game you've created ... let us all cont to support Shaun in his continue effort with the rest of his board ...

Tomas

Hard Sarge -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 8:07:13 PM)

I ran into something odd, played a game, then played two games, then played 2 games, so on my 6th game, I had 7 window errors, click on don't send, the game is still running, so just kept playing

made it to the 9th, wanted to check my replacements defence on the player card, seen gamelog, so clicked to look at that and got a runtime error and a windows crash, which of course, killed the game this time around

only thing I could see from the window crashes were hungapp

(but it wasn't hanging ?)

not sure if issue, or just a oddity

Hard Sarge -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 8:09:13 PM)

that log error was a runtime error 5

got it again when I was setting the roster and wanted to look at one of the logs (one about defence)

Can you give me the specific steps to reproduce, listing exactly what you are clicking? Thanks!

start game

click on games, and pick to manage, when the line up comes up, go to change line up, while on that screen, if I go to a player card, Game Log, and Season Chart I get a runtime error 5

From Manage roster, I can go to the player card and those screens open up correctly

Nukester -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 9:09:19 PM)

edit: nevermind again. I wasnt able to sort pitchers ratings from highest to lowest on the "Modify Roster and Lineups" screen , but leaving the screen and coming back in fixed that

Nukester -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 9:21:52 PM)

Got another "Runtime error 5 - Invalid procedure call or argument". I was in the free agent screen, opened up a player card, pressed the "Ratings History" button, and got the error, and a bunch of grey diagonal lines covered the player card, and the game closed out

The last time I got this error was also after looking at a free agents player card. I was in the free agency portion of the offseason, looked at a free agents player card, perhaps pressed one on the side buttons on the screen (I dont remember exactly which button), and got the runtime error 5 message

duncan21 -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/9/2009 9:43:20 PM)

Shaun,

Any fix on the error I mentioned on the second post?

I tried a fresh new association and am getting the same error.

Bustoff -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/10/2009 12:23:05 AM)

I can't find the feature that lets me assign a schedule to an association. Am I having a major brain-fart or is this feature gone?

DonBraswell -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/10/2009 1:55:21 AM)

Shaun,
With beta 6 I wanted to look at players card before installing 177 RC 2. Clicked on Washington my team and got run time error 6 overflow. This was the only error, clicked ok and the game shut down. Restored from my backup reopened the game and got RTE 6. Loaded RC 2 then restored from my backup again, went through the off season. Adjusted my roster. clicked on spring training and got RTE 6 overflow. I think I have run 1950 to 1951 off season 6 times now. But I do know who is going to retire now before they retire in the off season! [:'(] [8|] [:D] None of the RTE 6's were the same, I mean, I was clicking on different things, my team name, just reopened the game and spring training. This looks like a good one. [X(]

Yes, forthcoming. For now, just click the "close" button in the bottom right of the screen.

1) Options and Utilities link on Main page
2) Associations Tab
3) Schedule Import button bottom right

Hard Sarge -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/10/2009 10:20:54 AM)

does anybody have player pitchers working ?

I have it assign and nothing happens, I went back and added in my old pitcher folder, and the game crashed when trying to add those

(never mind, go back in and now I got pitchers for most of the players ?)

for ball parks, we have the Dim ? but not the photo ?

the is not the ballpark the Indians play at ? (quiet down, I know you could say they do play baseball)

Bustoff -> RE: Release Candidate 2 Available (8/11/2009 2:32:39 PM)

Crash,

Thanks. I found that button, but it appears to be set up to use *.psc files only. I have a number of OOTP schedules in *.txt format that I have used successfully in the past. Is it safe to assume these are now obsolete?
