Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/7/2009 11:42:09 PM)

Can you do me a favor and try the following:

Make sure you have thwe 1.00 production install!
Completely remove the current install (Manually make sure that all the files are gone.
Do a clean install from production 1.00
Upgrade to latest 1.05
THEN upgrade to the lates 1.06

1.05 drastcially changed the directory structures and so should 1.06 BUT I would be curious as to the results you see from this...

Is this possible?

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/20/2009 1:08:41 PM)

Most definitely a font registration problem!
This typically happens if you run the install and the font (Quixley LET) did not register properly from the install program.
Usually a reboot fixes this.

Dancing Bear -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/21/2009 2:53:17 AM)

I get this problem all the time since i re-installed the game. I have not been able to get rid of it by rebooting. Ess1, let us know if you get the Marshall's suggestion to work.

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/21/2009 1:11:07 PM)

DB:

Which problem? The font or the garbled info panel?

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/21/2009 3:07:16 PM)

Screenshot reported in # 35 still showing. Don't really feel like reinstalling again[:(]

Dancing Bear -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/21/2009 10:47:51 PM)

I'm still having the font problem, and was not able to get rid of it with a re-install. I also lost the game music at the same time, even though i have it selected on. Ess1, do you still get the game sounds?

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/22/2009 12:41:24 PM)

Yes

Yea, you should not have too??? There is something preventing the font from being installed and registered OR something causing the font to be lost from the registration list??? Can you check your font dir to see if Quixley LET is installed?

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/22/2009 2:46:05 PM)

Font not installed. Strange this as all was ok before. Where has it gone, I ask?[:)]

May be something to do with my installing another copy of Application as per your request Report #31
How is your investigation getting on by the way? I know you don't have a lot on...

Dancing Bear -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/23/2009 2:23:24 AM)

If it helps, my font disappeared on an aborted attempt to install the game on a second computer.

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/23/2009 12:40:31 PM)

Try installing this attached TTF file in your system...

Dancing Bear -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/23/2009 2:00:36 PM)

Hi Marshall
that worked, thanks!

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/26/2009 7:44:46 PM)

Thanks Marshall. When you have time[;)] - how is the Info Panel problem solution (?).

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/26/2009 10:47:23 PM)

I simply cannot see a problem with the file??? It loads fine on my machine!
ARRRRRG!

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/27/2009 12:37:30 PM)

Sellick:

I think I remember BUT just to be sure, you can start a BRAND new game and get the same results at the start of the game?

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/27/2009 3:15:38 PM)

As soon as the save function is activated.

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/27/2009 3:40:29 PM)

Further to my last posting: Host has just sent a backup for all players. Opened mine and Panel shows all history from 1805 to date (1808). [&:]
Will report back after I complete my naval turn.

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/28/2009 11:23:09 AM)

OK. Deleted commout, commin & save files prior to opening backup into save folder.
Received into commin player's turn.

Panel still showing full history[:D] Will leave commin folder with player's turn and add next ones to see what happens.

Saga continues [:)]

Marshall Ellis -> RE: Info Panel Problem (10/28/2009 2:15:13 PM)

Keep me in the loop!
I'm not sure what to do but hopefully at some point we can catch it as it happens?????????

The repeated entries for skipped phases is "expected behaviour" I believe. You get one entry for each skip for each nation that plays that phase.

ess1 -> RE: Info Panel Problem (11/20/2009 2:55:43 PM)

Thanks David.
