konigsberger -> Armies and Corps in battle, reinforcements and battle limit (8/22/2009 5:03:24 PM)

Hi all! I'm a beginner and I'd like to pose some question. 1)Which is the battle limit (how many men in total involved)? 2)How can I organize my troops to have well-distributed kinds of unit in a detailed battle? For instance, I was playing as French and I was in 1805 Campaign with 2 Armies (3 Corps each) near Vienna. Against me 2 Armies of Austria. I entered Vienna with both my Armies, but in the detailed battle only a part of my troops participated (I tjinh it happened to Austrians too)[:D]. I had lot of infantry, lot of cavalry, but absolutely no Artillery[:@]!!!! I had it in my Armies, but they didn't enter tne battle, neither as reinforcements[&:]. Then: a- It's better if I organize Armies in corps with only 1 kind of troops (only Artillery, only Infantry, only Cavalry) to be sure that at least one of each kind will appear in the battle? b-Or it depends on Generals? c-Or it's better if I move with 1 Army and I leave the other one as Reinforcement in a neighbour Province and I'll call it as Reinforce during the battle? Sorry if I've been a bit long, but I'm perplexed about this battle limit!![:(] Thanks Konigsberger - Ostpreussisch KriegsArmee[;)]
