Chris21wen -> Creating a new TF from an existing TF (8/26/2009 10:37:54 AM)

When you do this, and I have need more than I used to due to the new port unload rules, the new TF alway sets its destination as its home port and clears the do not retire flag. Could the new TF retain the setting of the original TF.

When you create a new TF from an old TF you get the main screen where you can turn off the retire option while creating it, over on the right hand side ...you just have to remember to select it, I always forget too ;p

That doesn't overcome the main problem for setting the destination the the home port. I'm wrong here, it does. Setting 'remain on staion' does two things, it clears the destination and sets the ship to 'do not retire'. I'll have to wait until next turn to see if clearing the destination actually leaves it in the hex.

I have a better idea. Could we get rid of the new port unload rules?

Seriously!

If the original task force screen is showing (viewing tf) there is a "create new tf" button on top right. If you use that button it will keep all the same settings as the tf that is showing on the screen. Remember to make any changes needed after creating.
