barbarossa2 -> Patch/Update Question... (8/26/2009 10:38:41 PM) When the new patch comes out, can we install this for a PBEM we are currently playing and keep playing it? Or, will we need to restart new PBEMs?

(9/6/2009 7:58:28 PM) Bismarck, No ETA is known, which is why I'm preferring to use vague language like "at least a month." barbarossa2, Yes, I believe the patch will break save files. But I also believe that you can have the game installed on your computer twice, in which case you can have an unpatched version for PBEM. (Disclaimer: This double-installation might be a luxury only beta-testers can have, if the serial number system Matrix uses doesn't permit it. But I think it works.) Anyway, history has shown that you should never make a decision regarding whether to begin or continue a PBEM game based on our release schedule!
