ORIGINAL: KG Erwin For the purposes of the game, only current active players in PS terms are considered. I would assume that once these players retire, their records would still be included in the Almanac. Oh yeah, I think the records would still be included, which is good. I'm just wondering if this feature could be tweaked to include ALL past statistics from players in the Lahman database, so that if you started an association in 1980, Cy Young would be the all-time wins leader, Ty Cobb would be the hits leader (for the time being), etc. Or if you started an association in 1955 Ruth would still be the single-season HR record-holder and you would move forward from that point. For example, I started an association in 1977 with this feature turned on, and Willie McCovey was the all-time HR leader with 465 (because he was still playing). But anyone already retired is not included (as far as I can tell).
