Nomad -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/19/2021 7:29:30 PM)

My guess is that you did not install the lib folder in the tracker folder.

Make sure that in the folder c:\wip\witptracker ae release 1.10 <2> that there is a folder named lib and in it are three files.

Sand Pebble -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/19/2021 8:23:37 PM)

Attached is the tracker files,it looks like the LIB folder is there ???

Nomad -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/19/2021 10:52:18 PM)

You will have to wait for Floyd to stop by.

Nomad -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/19/2021 10:56:14 PM)

You could try deleting all the files that have trackerdb.xxx and rerun the bat file.

Axe1999 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/28/2021 8:21:47 AM)

Hello guys, I have a quick question. For the love of God I cant figure out how to load a new turn in the tracker. So I managed to load turn 2, then I played turn 3, saved it and put it in the tracker folder under the name that is in tracker setup txt file (wpae004). Then I ran batch file again, it started tracker but its still showing me turn 2?

Edit: Oh and read turn does absolutely nothing

Axe1999 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (2/28/2021 9:40:57 AM)

Fixed it, for some reason only no map bat works correctly...

conao -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/6/2021 3:23:49 PM)

My saved files are stored in AppData, not in the game folder. I don't know why... maybe you do and could tell me how to change this.

Anyway, this means that I cannot use [SaveMode] equal to 1 or 2, which I'd prefer instead of copying the saved file to WitPTracker's folder every turn. I wonder if the [Dir] setting can be changed to point to where the saved files are or if it really needs to point to where the game is installed.

Thanks for any help.

/Marconi

The [Dir] is for the SAVE and also for the ART folder. So if you change it, you'd lose all of the graphics.

You can use the Multi-turn load and then select any folder you want.

BaitBoy -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/21/2021 7:55:14 PM)

Everything was working fine until this turn it would not load the turn and I gat this error:
Exception in thread "AWT-EventQueue-0" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: D:\Matrix Games\WitPTracker AE Release 1.10\pwsdll7.dll: Not enough memory resources are available to process this command

Can someone tell me how to fix this?

Thanks

Thanks. Turns out Dropbox was the problem.

Tanaka -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/22/2021 8:03:08 AM)

Everything works for me except the map part is black. Anyone else had this problem and know a fix?

kwcampbell -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/22/2021 12:42:54 PM)

Just as an FYI to anyone trying to run Tracker and getting the following error response:

"Error: Unable to access jarfile WitPTracker.jar"

I was receiving this and tried everything I could find online as a possible solution, with no luck.

In the end I stumbled upon an accidental solution -- to NOT run the witptracker.bat batch file in administrator mode. That works for some reason.
This is on my laptop running windows 10.

Tracker hasn't worked for years on my desktop either, which I think is running win 7. Haven't checked to see if this will also fix things on that computer.

Is your [Dir] property set correctly in the witptracker.properties file?

Yes everything works except the map is black...

I am using a map mod?

Do you see any error messages in the Command Prompt window that launches the program?

Tanaka -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/27/2021 2:05:38 AM)

I am also using Combat Reporter and it loads the map just fine...

Using Kamikaze Bellum Pacifica map mod.

floydg -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (3/27/2021 12:40:52 PM)

For some reason, the program can't find the files. Are they in the ART folder?

Yes they are. Combat Reporter finds them there fine.

Figured it out. You were right. I had left out the non hex images to get the map mod to work. Reinstalled and fixed. Thanks!

For those out of memory errors:

For whatever reason it seems that Windows gets its memory allocation screwed up. Try closing everything and restarting your computer.

If that doesn't fix it, then try shutting down your computer completely, pulling the power cable and pressing the start button for about 10 seconds.
Restart and try again. Like I said, I don't know what happens but these have always fixed the problem for me. I have something like 450 turns loaded.

As a last resort, try and find what is running in the background that might be a problem. At least one person found dropbox was running in the background
and messing up the memory manager.

Also I have found the following memory settings work the best: ( do not copy and paste )

"c:\32 bit java\installation\bin\java.exe" -Xms768m -Xmx768m -jar "WitPTracker.jar"
pause

For those who want to know why:
1. The -Xms768m sets the initial memory allocation to 768MB
2. The -Xmx768m set the maximum memory allocation to 768MB

I think that by setting them both to 768MB that Java allocates enough memory for the entire operation at the start and there should be less memory manager allocation problems.

tocaff -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (4/2/2021 6:59:39 PM)

I can't get Tracker to work. I get the following message:

Can't load IA 32 bit .dll on a AMD 64 bit platform

I'm running Windows 10 on an Intel based 64 bit system.

I followed the instructions and installed C++ vcredist_x86 exe and it still won't work.

floydg -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (4/2/2021 7:13:20 PM)

What Java JRE do you have installed? 32-bit or 64-bit? The program needs 32-bit.

tocaff -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (4/2/2021 7:34:50 PM)

I had 64 bit installed. It's working fine now. The older I get the dumber I become. Thanks Floyd.

I have changed the memory as recomended above but I still have to fight with it to get it to work. Will it work with a larger memory allocation? Is there a max size to the memory that can be allocated?

Nomad -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0 (4/3/2021 12:30:49 AM)

You can go a bit larger, but the program doesn't need it. If you are still having problems then something on you machine is interfering with the memory allocation.
