Go to the LCU screen. Click on the the column heading to sort by Location. It will sort by hex number instead of base name.

I've noticed on many other screens a location column will sort on name, with hex numbers being interpreted as names. That way seems much easier to use.

Yeah, I do that on purpose.
The other screens don't show the hex location next to the base name. I don't know which way really is best...

IMO - sort by name. Do show the hex number, but sort by name. I figure if you know what hex to look at you already know what's there.

Did you get any errors in previous loads ?

For some reason the chart on the LCU production screen is not being initialised cause there is a problem with the data, can you clear the DB by deleting the trackerdb*. files and then retry... If this doesn't clear the problem, then can you email us with the savefile and your properties file

Yes, I see where I do it in the Regions pop-up window. It's a little complicated to change, since I have some special cases for the Unassigned region, which I force to show up first.

No problem (it really is VERY minor). Thanks for looking into it!

Also, fyi iirc, you can type the first letter when in the combo box and then (TAB ?) to each region with that Letter ... or something like that ... [8D]

Aircraft ?

There is the Aircraft tab or the Aircraft Comparison Tab from the drop down menu ... then make your selections...

SeethingErmine -> RE: Leader Question (1/19/2010 3:32:24 AM)

I use the tracker's Leader screen to try to find better leaders for my air groups, but I run into a lot of leaders that do not show up in game when I try to find them. What am I missing?

For example, from scenario 1, playing Japan:
- In tracker, I go to Leaders and filter by IJN and Unassigned & Active.
- I sort by Air skill, and the first "LT" rank leader for me is Kikuchi, R. [3363] with an air skill of 67.
- In-game I bring up the leader assignment list for a navy air group, and Kikuchi does not appear in the list of available leaders.

We've been busy fixing and adding screens and this area probably needs a quick review to see if we're missing something ... When I get a chance I'll have a look.

Do you just have the 32bit Java installed ? Uninstall the 64 bit.
What is your OS and processor type(AMD/Intel)
What Microsoft Visual C++ SP do you have installed ? The 64 bit one seems to cause problems, just use the 32 bit

Let me know and I'll try to get you up an running.

That's incredibly unusual, we both use the same MS setup ... Can you replace the *.dll in the tracker folder with the one in your c:\matrix games\... (game root folder), delete the db & try again. Otherwise I'm thinking you are a 64 bit user ??? I thought you had 1.3 running before ?

quote:

ORIGINAL: Grotius

Tracker is running great for me! It's even better than the original WITP Tracker, so congrats to you on a wonderful release.

I just have one minor (and probably obvious) question. I've never used Tracker in a PBEM before. I'm playing Japan, and I ran Tracker after I sent my turn 1 off to my opponent. It generated a valid database of info on my empire as of December 7. My opponent then sent back his turn 1, I ran the replay, and now I'm starting my orders for Turn 2. I tried running Tracker at this point, but it still just generated a report for turn 1, December 7. At one point will it read Turn 2? After both I and my opponent have entered orders for Turn 2, I assume?

Once again, thank you for all the time and effort you put into this. I've loved using it for AI games, and I'm really thrilled to have it at my side for a PBEM.

Grotius, thanks for the encouragement ...
For Dec 7, load the save after you've given orders (or before),[edit] - mid-turn save but before you have clicked the End turn (the file for your opponent).
Dec 8, load the save after the combat replay (before or after giving orders)[edit] - mid-turn save, but once again before the END Turn.

Hope this makes sense ... It's clear as mud to me [;)]

Cheers

Hi Damian

tried copying the pw*.dll from the matrix install folder to my tracker1.4 folder - no dice, same error.

any ideas?

I'm running Windows 7. In my efforts to get Tracker running I've downloaded a variety of Java versions. I have 2 installed I think - Java 6 update 17 & also Java 6 update 17 (64-bit), but I dont know which is actually trying to run the program.
Similar problem with C++, I have 3 versions showing:
- Visual C++ 2005 ATL Update kb973923 - x86 8.0.50727.4053 (252 kb)

Smeulders -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.4 Available (1/21/2010 6:12:44 PM)

Hey, I was wondering if it was possible to get a filter in the air prod that displays either planes that are being used in a group at the moment, or that are being built at the moment. It seems to me that the current 'building' filter also displays planes for which production/replacements have already stopped. This would prevent clutter later on in the game of a bunch of obsolete planes still taking up space in the lists.

You shouldn't be getting an out-of-memory exception, since you're running with the right parameters.
But it did show that the tables loaded in 12 seconds, which is a little fast. Can you try deleting the trackerdb.* files and trying again?

I figured out why I did that: for LCUs not at a base, if I sort by Base name, those LCUs end up at the end, which I didn't like.

Robin,
different users with 64 but OS's, have found differing solutions so I can't give you just one... This is usually associated with the *.dll link error and is about configuring your machine properly.

I don;'t have 64 bit OS, but I'd try this:
Uninstall 64 bit Java
Uninstall all MS C++
Reinstall MS 32 bit C++ SP1 or try the original before the Service Pack(SP)

Then delete the trackerdb*. files again and run from the batch file.

Let me know how it goes.

Yep, but I thought the "Building" filter only showed planes in production, (done on date and that the plane has a factory building)... Anyway, I'll recheck and make sure it's fine for next build.

Mistmatz -> RE: TOE Upgrade display (1/22/2010 10:39:28 AM)

Just stumbled over an inaccuracy with canadian and british ranks. See the picture for details.
I noticed that with 1.3.1 and will check with the next turn under 1.4 but the changelog contains nothing about this issue so I assume its still there. I checked also one USA squadron and the ranks where fine there, didn't check any further natonalities but my assumption would be that there is also a problem with the other commonwealth nations.
The whole thing is just a minor nuisance though.
