If you notice Floyd, in the picture the list is sorted on name, not ID.

D'oh!

It's the standard Java string sort, or so I thought. It appears that it's sorting in such a way to "remove" spaces... freaky.[X(]

I added a different sort function and it seems to work now.

Thanks.

joey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 1:50:48 AM)

I keep getting a "nullpointerexeception" exception message followed four "at witptracker..... " messages. Will the tracker work with a custom scenarios? I updated Java, C++, and am using version 1.0.1 of the tracker.

Well if the customised scenario doesn't have errors, then yes ... there is probably an error in the scenario, can you screen shot the dos screen, cause we need the line numbers and if you want us to have a look send the file to the email address.

joey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 1:56:38 AM)

I hate to sound stupid, but I don't know how to get a screen shot. Would you happen to know how?

n01487477 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:01:21 AM)

Joey,
the easy way is to hit printScn on the keyboard, open Paint and paste ...crop, save the file and upload to the site. If you have vista, there is a nice snipping tool under Accessories. Alternatively, there are many screen capture programs available free on the web.

Damian

joey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:10:54 AM)

I figure out a screen shot. Here you go.

floydg -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:13:28 AM)

This error is thrown when the ship class for a ship is missing. I'd say your scenario file has some issues...

Floyd

joey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:15:55 AM)

I never modified anything w/r to ship classes in any of my scenarios. I modify leaders of units and commands for units, but never ship classes. ????

n01487477 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:17:32 AM)

Just Pm'ed you Joey, send me the file to have a look ...

floydg -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:18:00 AM)

Send me a save and witptracker.properties to witptracker@gmail.com and I'll take a look.

Floyd

n01487477 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:19:20 AM)

Yeah send it to Floyd ... [:D][:D] ... [edit]damn he sent it to me instead [:D] [;)]

n01487477 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:32:12 AM)

Joey,
it loads both the Allied and Japanese side with no errors.

Some Q's:
Did you get a partial load and errors first time, without tracker fully initialising ?
Then did you start Tracker again without deleting the DB?

If so, I'd recommend deleting the DB files, all the trackerdb*. files and try a fresh load.

OR is it something to do with a ship conversion, I wonder have you converted a ship recently ?

I'm curious, and wondering if I'm missing something.

Try this first and then if there is a bigger issue I might get you to send me some more files.

joey -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 2:57:34 AM)

I reloaded everything, and it now works. I took a while to do it all, but I am on my way. Thanks for your time. Have a great week!

pmelheck1 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 3:53:17 AM)

I don't know if someone has already pointed this out but on the repair screen ships with zero system damage but that have flotation and engine damage don't show up.

Yes, currently the criteria is only system damage or damaged weapons.

Another request. The proper amount of supply and fuel carried on the CD supply convoys.

modrow -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 8:08:07 AM)

Let me chime in with a big

THANK YOU !!!!

a) for providing this tool for AE that quickly and b) for supporting it that well - 1.0.0 did not work for me, 1.0.1 does.

Excellent, now I'm a bit more ready for the AE PBEM game I picked up.

Smeulders -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 9:09:48 AM)

A new problem with devices for LCU's has shown itself. The TOE is now correct, but the there are issues with the number actually in the unit in both LCU and device screens. In the LCU screen - formation screen, the amount of devices in one of the slots is used for all slots. (Example: the 43rd Cavalry again, in my game it took some extra light AFVs and is now up to 4/6/4/4 of them, but only shows as 4/4/4/4 in the tracker). In the devices-pool history, that unit is showing only 4 Light AFV.

Thanks for the quick update

I assume that this is what's in the save file. I can set the supply to 0 for units not yet active.

I see that. The LCU details show properly, right?

Smeulders -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 (9/14/2009 12:43:45 PM)

Do you mean the screen you get with 'formation' in the LCU tab ?

I mean in the LCU panel (Data set: LCU), when you select the LCU, the area at the bottom that shows the details of that LCU.

Didn't even know I could scroll that down, but yes it is displayed correctly there.

I'm not sure what is in the save file, but here is a picture of the unit from the editor. As you can see it has a lot of supply and fuel as a part of its load.

Andy Mac said he started with 6000 supply per merchant and 18000 fuel per tanker, but he deviated from that in places.

Is that full screen ? If not what resolution are you running ? You should be able to resize the window (down the bottom)

jmscho -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 Available (9/14/2009 4:41:20 PM)

Got the updated and everything now seems OK.

Many thanks Damian, and anyone else involved, for a speedy response.

Awesome work guys. I had the above problem and was solved as suggested by deleting the microsoft visual c++ 2005 and 2008 i had installed and reinstalling the sp1 version of 2005 and 2008 and the ATL security update linked from the Witptracker site.

Many thanks for Witptracker.

Hanzberger -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 Available (9/14/2009 5:41:51 PM)

ok, I actually went to less then full screen size and then moved it around a bit.
Am I seeing everything now. (the image is downsized for upload purposes.)

n01487477 -> RE: WitPTracker AE Release 1.0.1 Available (9/14/2009 6:00:15 PM)

No worries Prester John, glad you got the beast working - the whole MS fix is annoying but necessary. And quite interesting that it doesn't always work first try, but an uninstall and reinstall may be necessary.

Hanzberger, yep that is the totality, I tried to make the chart fit in one screen for AAR's and ease of use. I'm not the best graphic drawer, but I think it does the job, if anyone wants to suggest another way, let me know.

What has interested me somewhat is that now we can tell the exact number of planes and engines produced there is HI spoilage/ unaccounted for, which I'm still investigating. Fraudulent accounting practices, need I say more - and you shouldn't either for fear of politicising this thread [;)]

As with many elements in this program at present, we are going to fill out the details over coming weeks, months and years (well hopefully not that long), so suggestions are welcome(don't expect them all to make the cut)...

Have patience it is yet to be polished, within RL constraints
