Stvitus2002 -> Screeching Bombs (9/12/2009 10:00:42 PM)

Anyone have a replacement sound effect for the (falling)screeching bombs?
A few more days of that & i will be climbing the walls.[X(]

I'd rather not turn off the sound altogether.

I went into the sound folder and (after listening to most of them) found the screeching bombs SFX files and renamed them NOSOUND_(filename).SFX. Much, much better!!!!

Had it been wav it could easily be toned down, theu sound is abith to high imho. Could maybe someone tune down the sound some 30%-40% and up teh soundfile? [8|][:)]

I found a few replacement sounds on Spooky's website. They are for
the original WITP. Hopefully they will work for AE.

What app did you use to listen to the SFX sounds? Can you provide a link?

Sorry for double post!

On Spookys site, just dl the falling bomb zip, then open the files with Xp/vistas soundrecorder and decrease the sound on them like 5 times, then save. Do it on order all 3 of them even they seems to sound the same.

Yes, Spooky's files are abit too noisy atleast if you want to increase gamesound overall and really hear all background sound more clearer. Then just copy and overwrite to /Sound game dir.

The sound file extention makes no real sence, as they appear to be .wav files anyway (or same format). If you really can't open them, use "open with" and then select any media device, winamp, mediaplayer etc

I Forgot the names on the files, or i had uploaded them here already [8|]

Cheers

In case anybody wants to just remove these screeching bomb sfx altogether, the three files that you should disappear are: 1222.sfx, 1223.sfx, 1224.sfx
